"Supergirl" season 2 shaped up to be very successful in its new home at The CW. The show was even part of the recently-concluded massive crossover event with three other The CW shows. Last week, the show ended with a crossover event titled "Invasion!" that was kicked off by "The Flash," and continued on "Arrow," and ended with "Legends of Tomorrow." In the crossover episodes, fans and viewers found Kara A.K.A. Supergirl herself teaming up with Oliver Queen, Barry Allen, and the heroes of "Legends of Tomorrow" to stop aliens from destroying humanity. Towards the end, it was Cisco Ramon's ingenuity that helped Kara find her way back to Earth-38. While it is implied that the aliens may come back sometime in the future, it won't be Supergirl's problem to deal with anymore. …show more content…
Given that Kara is from another Earth, it only makes sense that the resoponsibility will fall on Barry Allen and Oliver Queen. In the meantime, Jeremy Jordan's Winn Schott, who wasn't part of the "Invasion!" storyline, doesn't seem to be affected at all. In "Supergirl" season 2, Jeremy Jordan's Winn Schott is too busy to feel FOMO over "Invasion!" Why is that? According to Entertainment Weekly, Winn seems to have something more important to deal with, as hinted by Jordan himself. According to Jordan, Winn "doesn't have a lot of time to be bummed out" about "Invasion!" because of what's coming in the next episode. The sad part is that fans will have to wait until January to find out what Jordan is hinting about. Now that we know Jeremy Jordan's Winn Schott is too busy to feel FOMO over "Invasion!," what could he possibly be busy over in "Supergirl" season
Stargirl was not treated fairly by the student body. If she was treated nicely by her peers, she would not be bullied, be called names, or be brutally insulted. The way Stargirl’s classmates treated her was not kind or appropriate. If someone treated someone else like that at any other school, they would get in serious trouble. This is why the students at Mica High were too harsh when
When reading Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, it is instantly understood that you have control of not only being yourself, but being true to yourself. In the novel, Stargirl left a great legacy in MICA High School and all the people living around in general. So after reading Stargirl, we can understand that individuality and truthfulness to yourself is important to everyone around and most of all,
Zoey Brooks, the protagonist of Zoey 101 (played by Jamie Lynn Spears) open my eyes into the world of creativity. She is adventurous as she is always keen on trying new things. Besides that, she has always been bold in all that she does and she does not allow the pressure to get to her in moments of tension.
Oliver and Sarah were together when the boat crashed. He watched as she was drug from the boat into the dark abyss. Oliver was also drug out of the boat, but managed to surface....
However, in a recent interview, when Kevin Feige was asked for his opinion on how long the superhero movie blast can last, the film producer and Marvel Studios president - Kevin Feige said that superhero movie genre is pretty much here to stay.
Kayla was just an average 14 year old playing in a soccer tournament. She fell a couple of times, once on her tailbone and another on her neck ("Kayla Montgomery"). There was a tingling sensation running up and down her spine, and she lost feeling from the waist down ("Kayla Montgomery"). Shortly after her fifteenth birthday, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, or MS for short ("Kayla Montgomery"). Her disease hasn’t progressed from the time she was diagnosed to now, so she is still able to do the things she loves including running. Kayla was determined to push herself to achieve her goals. Before Montgomery was diagnosed, she wasn’t a fast runner at all, but she soon rose to the top ("Kayla Montgomery"). Kayla became the fastest long distance runner and also the track and field team captain at Mount Tabor High School ("Kayla Montgomery"). She started to train with the boy’s team her sophomore year because the girls on her team weren’t enough competition (Polachek, Emily). Kayla became the 21st fastest 3200 meter runner in the country at North Carolina’s state track meet her senior year ("Kayla Montgomery").
One of the America’s most popular poets finds her inspiration in an unconventional way: on frequent walks through the forest with a small hand-sewn notebook in her back pocket, brandishing pencils she had previously hidden in trees so sudden ideas would never leave her bereft of something to write with. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award, Mary Oliver pulls much of her subject matter from the nature that she immerses herself in. She is intensely private and secretive, preferring instead “to let her poetry speak for itself” (Duenwald). Oliver’s highly commended work is dedicated to her late partner of over 40 decades, Molly Malone Cook, an established photographer responsible for many of the photographs available of the seclusive Oliver (Popova). Drawing inspiration from her Ohio childhood and Provincetown home, Oliver’s unique style of poetry features straightforward imagery that is easy to
While traditional heroes have been defined as tough due to their individualism and ability to confront obstacles by themselves, Sharon Ross argues that in superhero stories new visions of heroism show that women grow as heroes because of their female friends. In Arrow, Sara and her sister Laurel encourage each other to strive to be the best they can be. Making Laurel, who in traditional comics would been viewed as a sidekick is seen as a hero under the new visions of heroism because when they are together they demonstrate that women can be tough enough to handle anything when they join others. This is also known as epistemic negotiation.
Inspiration influences people to do things on their own that they would otherwise chose not to do unless inspired by someone else. When parents walk into the Pooler Elementary Media Center to attend various meeting they find that inspiration in the form of Sarah Clark. She welcomes and talks about the school and her role with so much energy, enthusiasm and passion that she motivates other parents to be a part of her team for their children and the Pooler Elementary School family.
Surgeons. These people are the most noteworthy and crucial part of the medical community. Their knowledge, skill and ability go a long way towards being able to extend the rates of life expectancy in the general population. To most people surgeons are considered heroes and life savers. This is why Meredith Grey on the hit television show “Grey’s Anatomy” indefinitely inspires me. If I could meet any fictional character and spend the evening with them, I would choose Meredith Grey because of her life story, her notable traits, and her ability to be a great doctor.
On January 17th, 1922, Betty Marion White was born in a nearby Oak Park hospital in Illinois. She was an only child to her parent Horace and Tess White. Her father was an Electrical Engineer and her mother was a homemaker. When White had turned 2 her small family had moved from their Illinois home to Los Angeles. She knew from the start that she had wanted to act and or, produce a television show. Betty got her start working as an assistant at a local TV station, and by the early 50’s she had launched her first Television show, Life With Elizabeth, which was developed with George Tibbles. White’s life was just beginning at this time, and she never knew that her life was going to change so much over the next few years. Her spouses, occupations, and rise to fame had all changed in the matter of years!
I wanted to inform everyone that Marvel's Jessica Jones is one of the most uncomfortable shows I've ever viewed. That's not to diminish its quality, in fact, it's one of the best superhero-related things I've seen as well, right up there with the gritty noir of Marvel's Daredevil. The two series share more than a few things in common, by design I'm sure. What appalled me was the utter darkness. The show conjured a villain from the recesses of the lungs of Hell, from the psychological terror of real life, often stranger than fiction. There are those out there who are recovering from the trauma of a stalker or a sexual assault...no show I've ever seen, not the SVU's or the Hannibals have quite unearthed or portrayed the ubiquitous doom and despair
The presentation I chose to write about is Wonder Woman. I discovered that her image as a woman has changed with time. The purpose has been that society has changed. She was at first dressed in more clothes, but with more time she changed into a businesswoman and even other suits. At one point before the 1950s, she was drawn as stronger this is when woman were becoming more common in war dressed as men, and even staying at home to run the houses. Then in 1950, they made it very clear that woman must go back to marrying men again as the wars came to an end. While woman went more into the workforce Wonder Woman became a businesswoman in 1968 as noted before. In the year 1992 was the year of women where wonder woman went on to become a symbol
2017 brings all sequels and spin-offs. It will also be the ultimate test for DC because they are introducing Justice League. Justice League has always been superior the Avengers because I’m pretty sure a God like Superman would have no problems with
Superman thought, “She can’t die yet. She has all her life to live.” After about an hour, Superman decided to take back the kryptonite to the special superhero store and teach Bizarrogirl how to be a hero and not a villain. Following two years, Bizarrogirl learned to be good and decided to change her name to Superlady and be Supergirl’s sidekick. Everything went back to normal and “the gang” went back to fighting crime.
