Let’s face it, folks: Comic book movies are the dominant form of media right now. The next few years are littered with new films and tv project that each Summer seems like there will be a new movie every week. Don’t get me wrong, I love comic book movies, but since there are so many coming out next year and the next few years, you might lose track of it all. That’s why Comics Alliance made this very handy infographic that shows you when both DC and Marvel films will be released. Granted, some of these movies are pretty far away, so release dates can be changed.

As you can see, a few of the movies on the list have already come out. Avengers: Age of Ultron came out and made a truckload of money, but it didn’t quite have what the first film had. A

lot of it felt forced, and you could see that the studio may have forced scenes in that didn’t quite fit with what Joss Whedon’s vision for the film was. Ant-Man came and went. It made money, but after a month, or even a week, no one was really talking about it anymore. I didn’t waste time seeing it since it became a poster child for what Marvel has been accused of doing: Not worry about making one great movie, but having a movie set up the next couple movies. I became more interested in the end credits scene instead of what happened in the movie. I’d rather of watched the original version that was meant to be filmed by genius director Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead). Fantastic Four absolutely tanked in the theaters. It’s understandable… I watched it and it felt like 45 minutes were cut from it. The pacing was weird, most of the scenes where The Thing was in action in the trailer was missing, Kate Mara’s replacement wig for the reshoots were distracting, and it was pretty much unlikable on every level. The big guns come out in 2016: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — March 25th Captain America: Civil War — May 6th X-Men: Apocalypse — May 27th Suicide Squad — August 5th Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice really kicks off the DC Cinematic Universe with the introduction to multiple new characters that will soon have films based on those characters.
It’s unknown what that state of Man of Steel 2 is. First, it was reported that George Miller would be directing, but then it was said the movie was on hold. So who knows.
Captain America: Civil War will have the Avengers battling each other and will introduce Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. X-Men: Apocalypse has the team face one of the strongest bad guys in Marvel’s catalog, but the problem with this movie is that last movie ended with everyone being alive, so it takes away from any of the tension in this movie. I’m not sure how they’re going to do it. Suicide Squad gives un a new Joker played by Jared Leto. The more I’ve seen of him as the Joker for, the more I’m liking it. I just had to hear the voice and the laugh to be sold on his portrayal.
2017 brings all sequels and spin-offs. It will also be the ultimate test for DC because they are introducing Justice League. Justice League has always been superior the Avengers because I’m pretty sure a God like Superman would have no problems with
Hawkeye. Obviously, Fantastic Four 2 will never happen and Amazing Spider-Man 3 is completely gone. It’s not like anyone is really pining for the later anyway, or the latter because the reboot was a dreadful mess that was only created to keep the rights to the character for a few more years. Hopefully, Marvel can make Spider-Man cool again. The problem with all of these movies coming out in the span of a few years is whether audiences will still be down to keep paying for them in theaters. You can only have so much of a good thing for so long before people get burnt out on it. My favorite food is pizza, but I wouldn’t want to eat it everyday. I felt burnt out on comic book movies when I was watching Age of Ultron. The opening scene where the Avengers where kicking ass in the snow with zero difficulty while everyone was making fun of Steve Rogers making a quip about Stark swearing. The joke was stretched for 10 minutes and I almost wanted to leave. I was overall disappointed with the film, but I think Civil War will make up for an underwhelming film. What made the first Avengers so good was the anti-team they were, but they finally came together to save the world. I hope to see more of them feuding and then come together in the final two films. With the next 5 years of comic book films on the horizon, only time will tell if the audiences will stick around. I’m guessing this is a fad that won’t be going away anytime soon. I still have so many Beanie Babies I can’t sell.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of elusive, charismatic and heroic characters. Marvel has grossed billions of dollars in making family friendly movies for all to enjoy, However, a year ago, production for Marvel's most adult, foul mouthed superhero changed that. Deadpool is perhaps one of the most advertised movies to date, drawing the attention of everyone around the world, even those who essentially don't know who the hero is. Deadpool has become more and more prominent in the MCU as of late, due to a steady stream of social media ads that increase the characters fanbase. Deadpool himself didn't catch the attention of moviegoers,
Motion Pictures have always had a strong influence in today’s culture, but maybe none as prevalent as Star Wars. Originating with Episode 4 A New Hope, the series boomed from 1977 to 2005 with yet another addition coming in 2015. The strongest of the series was the original trilogy episodes 4, 5, and 6, all generally released in the 1980s. As one of the strongest film francaises still today, it’s impact within the 1980s was only the tip of the iceberg. Children and adults alike still anticipate the new edition of this seemingly endless journey. If any singular film series still holds prevalence in its future decades it is Star Wars: Original Trilogy.

“Captain America: Civil War” is preceded by “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, which was a huge box office hit. The expectations are set just as high with “Civil War,” based loosely on a comic series of the same name.

The U.S. military is a strong force and body that protects and serves the American people. Many people support the military and some even disagree with it. What people forget is that without a military the U.S. would be totally over run by foreign countries claiming ground. The military also helps with the nation’s economy boosting the balance of money in the works. Families have trouble with members who serve since there is always chance that they never return but it is because of their service that we are still a free country. Even though the military causes pain to families when a loved one is lost, the U.S. needs a military because with a military the economy increases and that without a military we would be invaded by a dictator or foreign
Kevin Feige explained, "People have been asking me that for 15 years. In 2001, 2002, 2003 there were two Marvel Studios' films, three Marvel movies, and I still feel sure of the truth of the same thing, which is as long as the ones that we can control are as good as they can be, that's all that I care about. I think we've been doing pretty well. I showed confidence in the films we've declared that we have come forward that they're going to be surprising and different and being the only one of its kind. I've said a lot: I don't believe in the comic book genre. I don't believe in the superhero genre. I believe that each of our movies can be very unique."
Marvel has been releasing blockbuster after blockbuster for over the last decade. Marvel movies have action, a great story line, and even some comedy. Some of my favorite movies that Marvel has released are: the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Amazing Spiderman. DC movies, on the other hand, are awful and boring. Most of them don’t have a story line, they’re slow in telling the superheros story, and they aren’t based off the comics. Some disappointing DC movies that I thought would be great but weren’t: Green Lantern, Man of Steel, and the Dark Knight Rises. While the future of Marvel movies are looking bright (Dr. Strange, Captain America 3), the DC movies will probably crash and burn (Batman vs Superman, Suicide
The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, is a story of five superheroes coming together to save the world. The last big battle scene takes place in New York, where a big portal has been opened and is letting out thousands of aliens that start terrorizing all of New York. Loki is the villain of the of the movie, who wants to take over Earth. While the five superheroes (who are known as the Avengers) are fighting off Loki and his alien army, The government decides to try and bomb New York. The bombing would have killed thousands of innocents if it weren’t stopped by the Avengers. In the end, the Avengers took down Loki and his army, saving New York and the world.
Every child in the United States has heard or read the Marvel and DC comics books. If you have not then you have probably have heard of their characters like the famous star spangled hero, Captain America, or the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Both Marvel and DC has influenced the children and adults of American in its darkest times. The great wars affected many by its poisonous grasps, and its victims sought comfort with the antidote provided by the marvelous illustrators and writers of comic books. Now their cinematic counterparts are here to inspire the 21st century. The Marvel and DC cinematic universes have similar content, they both have unique characteristics that set them apart.
Prior to the X-Men movies though there had been three other Marvel movies that had been released, however all three could be deemed failures. The three films were the 1989 The Punisher, which was actually released directly...
The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $585 million and garnering widespread critical acclaim, with Downey's performance as Tony Stark particularly praised. The American Film Institute selected the film as one of the ten best of the year. A sequel, Iron Man 2, was released on May 7, 2010, and another sequel, Iron Man 3, was released on May 3,
From comic book pages to the big screen, creating a film adaptation of a beloved graphic novel series can be a challenging task. Talented writers and directors must work to devise a faithful adaptation without turning the audience’s attention away, as most loyal readers of a series can have high expectations. Whether a composition is praised or criticized, the greatest wish for a film that carries such immense weight with its audience is for it to succeed. One adaptation that has successfully captured viewers is Batman Begins, a superhero film based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman. Cowritten and directed by Christopher Nolan, the film reboots the series with an origin story laced with action and dark realism. The film premiered
On September 11, 2001, the United States was attacked by a group of Islamic terrorists who hijacked four airplanes and carried out three simultaneous suicide attacks against the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. As a result of the multiple crimes, the United States’ government increased national security and prioritized our nation 's’ defense, often at the expense of the people’s privacy, by enacting policies like the Patriot Act (What is the USA Patriot Web 2011). This left personal emails, text messages, internet history, and personal belongings exposed to the government. Although the government reduced the public’s rights to privacy, it is a necessary step to ensure national safety and security.
