Betty White
On January 17th, 1922, Betty Marion White was born in a nearby Oak Park hospital in Illinois. She was an only child to her parent Horace and Tess White. Her father was an Electrical Engineer and her mother was a homemaker. When White had turned 2 her small family had moved from their Illinois home to Los Angeles. She knew from the start that she had wanted to act and or, produce a television show. Betty got her start working as an assistant at a local TV station, and by the early 50’s she had launched her first Television show, Life With Elizabeth, which was developed with George Tibbles. White’s life was just beginning at this time, and she never knew that her life was going to change so much over the next few years. Her spouses, occupations, and rise to fame had all changed in the matter of years!
First, Betty was a very attractive young lady back in the day. She was well known for her sense of humor, and love of animals. Betty was a very caring lady, and very beautiful may I add! White

and her first husband, Fredrick Barker, had got married on July 7th, 1945 when Betty was only 23. Sadly the love birds didn’t even last a year because they had gotten divorced on December 18th, of the same year. Although she was single and ready to mingle, White had waited a very short two years before she married her second husband, Lane Allan. They got married on November 8th, of 1947 and remained lovers until July 17th, 1949 when they called it quits and had got a divorce! Then many years down the road Betty was for sure she found the love of her life, Allen Ludden. The two beauties had been together for years upon years June 14th, 1963 – June 9th, 1981! No, she didn’t get a divorce, but his tragic death caused Betty not to re-marry. She had had no kids, other than step-children.
The next thing, is how many grand occupations she had/has. Betty has appeared in many different movies and TV shows. She is mainly known for her participation in acting and producing shows and movies, but she has different “jobs” than just that. She is an Animal Rights Activist, which means she believes in all animal rights, and she is a vegetarian for the most part. White stated in one of her many books that “Animals don’t lie. Animals don’t criticize. If animals have moody days, they handle them better than humans do.” Betty is also a screen sound character, this means she is in cartoons and is the voice of a character in the movie. Another thing this happy senior is, is a comedian. She is one of the funniest around and is well known for all of her comedian roles. She may be 93 years old, but she is the best human ever!
Last thing is her rise to fame!

As everyone knows, White started acting at a very young age. Maybe she was just making an appearance and not even speaking, but she was on that television screen doing what she loves. She has wrote many books about her life and what it’s like to do the things that she does. If You Ask Me, a novel by Betty had some great quotes and life lessons in it. “If one has no sense of humor, one is in trouble.” Stated White. She always believed in laughter and being a better person, even if her sense of humor was crude at some point, she always made people laugh and smile about anything. Her fame has never got to her head in any way, she has been called a very Down to Earth person by many people that she meets. With all of the money that she makes she donates so much of it to a charity every so often. She never says that she is better that anyone else, but I honestly think that she

is!
In conclusion, Betty Marion White has grown up threw all of the great era’s in history. She has had husbands, lovers that we never knew, and affaires that were never on record. Her beauty has never deceased from was it used to be, 93, and she is still glowing. Her personality has never once changed, she still makes bad days, turn into happy days. Betty has always been known, and always will be known as Americas Sweetheart.
