You find yourself feeling distressed, not understanding your reading material, rifling through your cluttered desk, pacing back and forth trying to remember that important lesson your teacher mentioned the other day. These are all situations that one who does not effectively practice study skills can find themselves in. Study skills are a wide array of strategies that you can implement into your school life to turn you into a more productive student. Creating a schedule for yourself is a significant study skill strategy that lets you to plan out your day, giving yourself a list of priorities and a timetable for each specific task. You can format your own schedule in any way you think will assist you in becoming a more productive student. For example, you could start out your day by scheduling harder assignments first. This way you can get the tough work completed sooner, leaving the rest of your day to work on easier or less grueling assignments. Another way of formatting your schedule would be to start off nice and slow, and then progressing onto more advanced assignments. There is no perfect scheduling format. As long as you get the work you need done in an efficient and productive fashion, your schedule will pay dividends for your academics. Learning to work under a scheduled routine could also make it more likely to open up some free time, allowing you to do whatever it is you feel like doing, instead of trying to cram everything into a short amount of
