Everyone has heard about the famous trampoline, right? A big canvas spread over springs and a frame? Well, if you haven’t then you are missing out! Many schools have trampolines so the students can stay active and have fun. My school doesn’t have one…yet. If my school was investing in a large trampoline for the gym class it would be very interesting. The school would have to teach the kids how to use it properly, so no injuries are caused. I would agree with getting a trampoline because it would motivate kids to exercise, teach students to share, and to allow more cooperation within the class. Gym is usually one of the most disliked classes. Many kids ask themselves, “Why would I need to exercise? I’m already healthy!!” Gym is also teaching you how to stay fit. Even if you are already fit now, you may not be in the future. Professional athletes had to go through gym and to keep their job they have to stay in the best possible shape they can be in. If my school were to get a trampoline, it would be a great idea because a lot of kids love bouncing. It will motivate kids to exercise, and they will have fun doing so. In paragraph 8 it states, “Trampolines can also be a good source of exercise and activity. They can help people improve their balance and aerial moves.” I think using a trampoline for a warm up would be nice, so it can stretch …show more content…
Although the trampoline would be nice to have, it would be difficult to teach kids to share. I think we can fix that issue. In paragraph 6 it says, “Injuries also happen when many people are jumping at the same time. Jumpers may collide and cause one another to land in strange ways.” My gym teacher splits the class into sections, or rows. I think that each day of the week one row of children can bounce. So every day different kids will have a chance at trampolining. Maybe then kids will learn to stop being greedy and

My observations included watching my neighbor’s children on their trampoline. When I was observing, I noticed a lot of developmental differences between the oldest and youngest siblings. The oldest was a 6-year-old girl jumping on her trampoline. I could tell the girl was very passionate towards her workout. The first 5 minutes of my observations included her being by herself, while her younger brother was playing in the grass with his red truck and train. His full attention was on his toys for a while. I never realized how focused some kids can actually be.
Covering all, we should revise the rules of Fort Bend ISD and change it. Having a sport in a school is a privilegeto one because some don’t due to the lack of money. It’s important for many students: it can help students in future possibilities such as athletics and their character. Knowing sports can change a person physically and mentally by making them smart, respectful, and healthier. Being in an after school activity is rewarding experience to all the students who are going to dedicated and focused on school and in the activity. Finally, student will be rewarded after school after the hard work throughout the day. Sports can influence students in many ways like character, making better graders, and lack of obesity. Fort Bend ISD should allow sixth graders to participate in physical activates: sixth graders would be satisfied.
Movement and physical exercise is key to a child’s life, especially in developing necessary skills to function throughout their whole life. Recess can be a time where children are able to explore how their bodies can function. Student’s can learn and apply skills like bouncing, throwing, catching, running, skipping, and the list may keep going on. Research has even shown that children who are more physically active in school are more likely to be physically active at home. Children who don’t have the opportunity to be active during the school day don’t usually compensate during after-school hours.

First, one of the major physical features of the school is that we share areas with our neighboring high school. One example is that we share the track with them. This is great because we only use the track for about twenty minutes per gym period and about two months for sports, track and field. Having our own track would be a waste of money and space. Another reason why this is an excellent idea is because it gives the students the opportunity to interact with one another. Talking to older and experienced high schoolers will help middle schoolers when they get to high school. These are just a couple reasons why sharing areas with the high school is a stupendous idea.

Does that mean we are going to ban field hockey? No! Also in cheerleading, people fall in stunts all the time, but that doesn't mean we can just ban cheerleading. Why should trampolines be banned if other sports have just as many risks? Every single sport has a way you can get hurt and we have to be careful about it.

Physical education provides a variation of motor skills aimed to enhance the physical, mental, social and emotional development. The obesity statistics of 2009 quantified that childhood obesity rates have more than tripled since 1980 and in addition to concerns regarding chronic diseases, overweight and obesity incidences have even led to poorer levels of academic achievement (Taras & Potts-Datema, 2005). Additionally, in order to teach students the importance of preventing these ailments, those who oppose the amount of time in physical education or want to cut it out altogether should reconsider. Instead, time in physical education should be as equal as core subjects are seen. Physical education can help children in the classroom as well. The physical educator can incorporate math or science in to their lessons. If they are jump roping, they can skip count...
I visited a school in my hometown of Kannapolis, North Carolina. I observed a 5th grade gym class at Kannapolis Intermediate School, which is a school I attended for 5th and 6th grade. The gym was similar to what I remember. The gym has a shiny, hardwood floor, that has basketball lines painted on it. On the sides of the floor, there are dots on the floor for playing games and jumping.
