I have been involved in the counseling for many years. I am very fortunate person to serve so many people through counseling or support. I was able to listen to their problems and suggest them a solution or guide them to an appropriate authority or person. My count of helping people may go beyond 1000. Sometimes it involves helping 10 to 20 people and sometime many hundreds. My first experience to help was to help people print and obtain the print from 3000 prints and then serving as counselor for Aptech Education and eventually at Hounslow I.C. Trust, West London as manager educational services. Dealing with people is one of my strength. I communicate with people through different mediums. Sometimes verbally face to face like at HSBT, Travelodge, Royal Mail etc. Sometimes I communicate with people via some subordinate or team member like at Aptech, Dynamic Systems, SER and RBS. Sometimes communicate through telephone or email like at Dynamic Systems, Royal Mail, RBS, and Iqra Primary School. This century is about customer wants and needs. I learned about customer focus and satisfaction in business school and practiced it till today. Although I faced pressure due to measures of cost reduction but never compromised on customer service and satisfaction. Dealing with customer at Travelodge or Dynamic Systems or Royal Mail was never easy. They most of the time expect excellent service or job without flaws. I was able to satisfy customer many a times and also helped my colleagues to satisfy the customer. Problems are part of the operations. Solving problems is an art. I have mastered this art over the years and have been practicing for more than a decade. I love training and learning new skills. It always brings something new in me. I have no such problems of traveling to UK or various parts of Middle East for learning and development. I am confident that I can represent my country in UAE and give my fellow citizens a better stay in UAE. I understand the behavior, attitudes and culture of British people along with that of UAE as well. With my experience and studies it will my honor if I serve my country and its people in the capacity of the consular. In my experience, my one on one counseling experience left me very confused and unsure of what was happening. I had to leave before I could truly finish, which caused it to be not helpful to me. Let’s face it you want to listen well before setting a plan of action. Never jump into any conversation unprepared, not only can it cause conflict but you can lose credibility if the meaning of what you are trying to say is lost. Verbal communication is always best, talking to another individual face to face is a good idea this way you can judge their reactions by their body language and you can express the correct meaning. But, remember that verbal is not the only form of communication. Your nonverbal communication can say a lot to the receiver (ie. body language). Use supportive messages rather than defensive ones can be more productive. Any conflict can be resolved through correct and effective communication.
