Clearly, communication plays a significant role in every aspect of our life. Communication is the simply act of conveying information from one person to another by using voice (verbally), gesture or body language (nonverbally), books or magazines (written), pictures (visually). Generally, in English levels of speech is mainly defined by address forms while in Japanese or Vietnamese, pronouns, verbs, and nouns all have different levels. Truly, in English, there is no division in the use of second pronoun “you”. “You” is referred to use to everyone from youth to older people, from friends to superiors. In the opposite, East and Southeast Asian language, “you” is divided into numerous and more complex second pronouns depending the level of politeness and hierarchy upon the relationship. For instance, in Vietnamese, “may or ban” is referred to call the same aged friends, “ anh or ong” is referred the older men, and “chi or ba” is to pronoun the older women. Besides, the actual role terms are also be used in place of “you” in two-person communication. In that way, the relationship between the two communicators can be better clarified and emphasized. Miscommunication is a struggle that lives within the world everyday. Being able to understand what another person is trying to convey is an essential part of the way humans interact with one another. When a message is not translated correctly from person to person conflict arises and heated battles rage within a relationship; whether it is a mother and daughter, or two quarreling lovers, or strangers upon the street. All humans are created differently, with diverse upbringings, perspectives, and mindsets. Particular forms of communications may mean different things to various people.
