I wish to become a woman of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., because of the strong sisterhood this sorority displays. Through my mentors I’ve seen the true sisterhood that Zeta Phi Beta has. I come from family of all males so I feel that I’ve never had women to truly call my sisters. Having sister has always been a dream of mine. I also love the work in the community that this sorority does. Community service is very dear to my heart so the fact that this sorority does so much of that amazes me. I know that Zeta Phi Beta has made a difference in many people’s lives, and nothing would make me happier than to be a part of that. I hope gain a lifelong sisterhood. When I think of this quote it remind me of all the mentors I have had in my life to teach me about certain situations teenage girls encounter while in high school and how to prevent and deal with it. In high school I was part of the Delta G.E.M.S mentorship program presented by the Seattle Alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. In the program, these educated black women educated us on how to conduct ourselves as young ladies when out in public, in school, or in a professional setting such as an interview or conference. We also learned how to manage our time, and prepare for college, what to expect, and how to be successful throughout college. Being this program really helped me prepare for the real world, but I felt that I owed it to someone who is less fortunate then me, and did not have the opportunity to gain the knowledge that I had.
The term ‘sorority woman’ always comes with negative stigmas that all sororities do is drink or that sororities are just paying for their friends, but being a part of Alpha Sigma Tau has changed my life. As a freshman, I was self-conscious and unsure of myself, so when I went out for recruitment on a whim, the whole time I thought for sure that no sorority would want me. But, when I got my bid to Alpha Sigma Tau, I knew I found my home and my sisters. However, I did not know how much this organization would shape every aspect of my life. I have gained bonds with my sisters that will last forever and the support this sorority has for me, and each other, helps build my confidence every day. As I am finishing out my senior year- three and a half
If I could go anywhere in the world, it would be Louisiana. Because I could go to a LSU football game, go to the Mardi Gras parade, and go on the Honey Island swamp tour. All of these things are great to visit. What I would do first is go watch LSU play football. But that is just my opinion.
I am originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I attended Tuscaloosa County high school. Most of my high school career was spent playing golf so it was the chief decider when I was picking my first college. I did not come to UWA right away, I took the long way to get there, after transferring several times I found myself at UWA after my sophomore year. Coming to UWA was by far the best decision I have ever made, it allowed me to explore multiple opportunities academically, get involved with organizations on and off campus, and allow me to see what it means to be me! While at UWA I found my calling in the form of a degree called Integrated Marketing Communications, this decision did not come quickly though as it was my 5th and final declared

Wishing to devote my career to improving performances and solving business challenges faced by Chinese chemical companies, my short-term goal after graduating from Carnegie Mellon is to join a top consulting firm as an IT consultant to further sharpen my skills with real-world business problems. All of us are born with a blank book of life to fill, how we frame our lives depends on our decisions and circumstances that shape us. From the beginning of life in the womb of the mother till our last breath, our brain is constantly functioning without us realizing the intensity of complex tasks it takes up.

Education and learning are integral to not only endeavor to excel but also our quest for spiritual solace. In the aftermath of some recent financial events ethics are going to play a bigger role and leaders throughout the world will be tested by the choices they make. In my perspective, a successful leader has to firmly establish an environment for creating value not only for his immediate team but for the community through clarity of vision and facilitation of ethical decision making. Thus in today’s times, it’s absolutely necessary that business education sows the seeds of moral integrity, spiritual wisdom and chaste conduct in the future leaders. An international degree in business from a school with strong emphasis on innovation, research and sustainability thus becomes necessity for aspirants of global business leadership. It is this perspective which has drawn me towards Sheffield University School of Management.
