If I could go anywhere in the world, it would be Louisiana. Because I could go to a LSU football game, go to the Mardi Gras parade, and go on the Honey Island swamp tour. All of these things are great to visit. What I would do first is go watch LSU play football. But that is just my opinion. For example football is my favorite sport to watch and play. My favorite football team is LSU short for Louisiana State University. I would love to tour Louisiana State University and also meet the players and the coaches of the football team. I hope to pursue my career in football and hopefully attend LSU when I graduate from high school. Louisiana State University’s home football stadium is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Also in Louisiana one of the
biggest things to do is to go to the Mardi Gras parade. New Orleans is perhaps most widely known all over the world for one of the best known parade called the Mardi Gras parade. The Mardi Gras is a very unique festival. I would like to go the Mardi Gras parade to see a whole new perspective on the event. The Mardi Gras parade would be the second thing I would do in Louisiana. The Honey Island swamp tour is only one option of what you could do while you are in Louisiana. There are all kinds of animals such as alligators, wolves, birds, and deer you can see on the tour. The Honey Island swamp tour is a great opportunity to take great pictures of wild life and the outstanding views. I want to go on the tour and see all the views and animals. This would be the third thing that i would visit.
When I was accepted into the University of Oklahoma, I was not aware of the tradition or prestige that the football team carried. Moreover, I had no idea about the honor it was to don the crimson and cream in the arena of athletics. And, I never envisioned rooming with them. I enjoyed sports, but I loved reading and writing more. Initially, I was focused on building a collegiate career that one day would propel me to my goal of studying law. Yet, the more time I spent interacting with the athletes, the more parallels I noticed between their personalities and mine. Their diligence, perseverance and compassion were all traits that I could identify with since they were reflective of me. For the most part, the majority of the athletes were hungry to achieve and they desired knowledge at all costs; a combination that still resonates with me today.
Most college athletes, when they were young children, dreamed of playing for a college team. For them that was their passion and their greatest dream/ accomplishment. College athletes are there because they love to play the sport that they do. They love the thrill of the game and winning o...
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change world.” My goals for going to West Texas A&M is getting the necessary skills and getting the education necessary to become a radiologist. West Texas A&M home of the Buffaloes is publically known for their excellent nursing classes and will provide me with the necessary skills for successful future in Radiology.
Growing up and becoming a Christian was nowhere on my life timeline. In my early teens I accepted God as My Lord and Savior. Who knew that from that day on my life would take a huge turn. Before this huge turn I didn't know what it was to include a daily prayer nor know the reason why I attended church. Eventually I became mature and was able to comprehend God's purpose for my existence. It was like a puzzle waiting to be solved. I view my life as special because I stand out to people who don't know what it's like to live in a Christ-like perspective because it's a reminder that I see the power of Jesus and they don't.
Ask yourself “if I could take a trip ANYWHERE where would I go” well, I asked myself the same question where would I go? Here is my answer, I would go to the Bahamas because I think that I need to try something new. I think that if I went to the Bahamas then i would try everything because i am very deprived as in i don’t take advantage of the things i could be doing.
If I were able to travel to anywhere in this world without worrying about expenses, I would travel to New Orleans; a Louisiana city that is located on the Mississippi River and is in close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. New Orleans has a number of things to provide as to why I would travel there, but I only picked my main three that I mostly want to do. The first reason is for the unique and diverse culture New Orleans has to offer. The other two reasons are for the history and to witness the creepy side of New Orleans that it is most famous and known for.
I am originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I attended Tuscaloosa County high school. Most of my high school career was spent playing golf so it was the chief decider when I was picking my first college. I did not come to UWA right away, I took the long way to get there, after transferring several times I found myself at UWA after my sophomore year. Coming to UWA was by far the best decision I have ever made, it allowed me to explore multiple opportunities academically, get involved with organizations on and off campus, and allow me to see what it means to be me! While at UWA I found my calling in the form of a degree called Integrated Marketing Communications, this decision did not come quickly though as it was my 5th and final declared
My whole life I have heard it said that you need to choose a career and pursue higher education in order to provide for the needs and wants for oneself and your family. I am an individual determined to do that. I know that I could do this at UW-La Crosse. I want to attend UW-La Crosse because I really like the academic programs, the campus, the activities, and the clubs. I also like the size of the school because I want to meet a lot of people.
A mission statement is a very important piece to a college or university. It can provide faculty, administrators, and students the overall goals of a college or university. A mission statement or simply a mission, is a public declaration that schools or educational organizations use to describe their founding purpose and major organizational commitments (Hidden Curriculum, 2014). In other words, what the college does and why they do what they do. A mission statement may also describe its broad academic and operational assurances, as well its commitment to students and the community (Hidden Curriculum, 2014). It is important for colleges and universities to acquire a successful mission statement but also carry out their mission statement on
I decided to pursue a degree in Finance following the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, which had a powerful effect on both my country and my life. After taking an advanced history course that covered the biggest economic decline of the 20th Century – the Great Depression – I became acutely aware of how an economic crisis can have a devastating impact on global infrastructure. My continued desire to understand the hidden contributive factors behind these downfalls led me to read Akerlof’s and Schiller’s Animal Spirits. This book, which humanizes the subject and challenges conventional theories about economic collapse and recovery, taught me to consider how human psychology and primal group instincts can drive the trajectory of economic development as much as, if not more than, the machinations of banking and politicking. My intrigue having grown to outright passion, I continued my quest for knowledge by reading more related material, such as The Economist and The Wall Street Jurnal. The book Freakonomics, in particular, was of great interest to me, as it explored the obfuscated and s...
knowledge in theoretical computer science and as a result, I was awarded the Golden Medal
I am a student of Software Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. The purpose of writing this letter is to show my keen interest to spend one semester of my undergraduate studies at University of Limerick, Ireland.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving.
While I was searching for a captivating career for life during my BDS, something that would grip my mind and keep me thirsting for more, I was captivated by the sphere of public health and similar issues which were not localized to any one nation but had global ramifications if not arrested on time. My search ended for I had found my calling. Today a desire to be a part of the leading force of public health professionals brings me to the Masters Degree course in Public Health at your University.
My dream job in the future would be professional football player. I have loved the game of football since I was a little kid because it’s a good sport and you can tackle the player and catch and do anything in the sport as long as you follow the rules. The colleges that I’m looking forward to go to are UNC, Oregon, or Appalachian State.
