I am originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I attended Tuscaloosa County high school. Most of my high school career was spent playing golf so it was the chief decider when I was picking my first college. I did not come to UWA right away, I took the long way to get there, after transferring several times I found myself at UWA after my sophomore year. Coming to UWA was by far the best decision I have ever made, it allowed me to explore multiple opportunities academically, get involved with organizations on and off campus, and allow me to see what it means to be me! While at UWA I found my calling in the form of a degree called Integrated Marketing Communications, this decision did not come quickly though as it was my 5th and final declared
major! IMC gave me the ability and confidence to go out and make a name for myself at UWA. I played golf on the UWA men’s golf team, was president of the American Marketing Association, and hosted a charity Wine Tasting bringing together various faculty and alumni to raise money to renovate the University! Coming to UWA truly changed my life! Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the TV production lab in Wallace hall. I spent so much time in that room and building and it is one of the most special places to me! Favorite UWA Tradition Homecoming week is by far my favorite UWA tradition, it perfectly merges everything I love about the University into one awesome week. What do you love most about UWA The fact that as a student you are allowed to be involved with the university to the level that you are. Its hard to be as involved with the day to day happenings of a major institution like you are at UWA. It makes you feel like you truly matter to everyone at the school. Piece of advice for prospective students Have Fun! College is supposed to be the most memorable and enjoyable times of your life. You will grow more academically and socially in college than you will at any other time! Have an open mind and a good balance of Academics and Social life. Let UWA show you who “You” really are!
...Selecting a college to attend was a lengthy process. I applied to four different schools. I outweighed all the pros and cons of each college. The ultimate goal was to persevere and graduate with a degree. As a high school student, I think I found Ohio State appealing because of all the hype that surrounded it. Once I came to the conclusion that I wanted to go into the medical field, I realized that I needed to be in an atmosphere where I could maintain my focus. Nonetheless, the most consequential influencing factor was regarding finances. Case was extremely expensive but I received a substantial amount of financial help compared to Ohio State. In addition, I was fortunate to obtain a work study job that helped with living expenses. I knew that college would not be easy especially given Case’s reputation. In the end, I am confident I made the correct decision.
UTK is a the university that I want to attend because it will give me a great opportunity to be a success student, and because the city it is located in is a beautiful place and has different social opportunities. Also because the school spirit and everyone there feels like your

If I could go anywhere in the world, it would be Louisiana. Because I could go to a LSU football game, go to the Mardi Gras parade, and go on the Honey Island swamp tour. All of these things are great to visit. What I would do first is go watch LSU play football. But that is just my opinion.
I am so ready for college. I could not wait for this moment to get here and it was finally here! In the year of 2016, I graduated from Community School of Davidson. I had applied to every school you could think of (Norfolk State, Spelman,Howard, and Tuskegee) just to name a few and decided to go with my first choice Tuskegee University. This was weird because I am a city girl and Tuskegee University is in the country.
The first college I attended was Georgia Military College. I chose to attend Georgia Military College because I thought it would be an easy start. I chose to major in Nursing because I wanted to do a career that is challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people's lives daily. My passion for Nursing is helping others in their time of need and put their needs before my own. I know that I was destined to something bigger than myself. I know that to accomplish this goal I must fulfill my dream of becoming a Nurse.
Every great civilization or dynasty has always had one thing in common – great structures. These mammoth man made marvels have stood the test of time and have magnetised volumes of information that are vibrant all over the city skyline. Coming from the Indian subcontinent, we still live in an era where old structures prevail amongst 21st century structures. Blessed with a keen eye to analyze and observe, I’ve always wanted to pursue a career where problems could be overruled through the inclusion of concepts and real time solutions. I have been a consistent performer since school days scoring a high 89.92% in grade 10 and an 85.16% aggregate in grade 12. I have always had an affinity towards mathematics which drove me towards my real passion - engineering. Naturally when considering tertiary study options, Civil Engineering was my first choice as I could see myself working in a field that allowed me to use various maths and physics concepts to solve problems instantaneously. The poise and versatility with which a civil engineer works fascinates me; which in turn led me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore – one of the oldest most prestigious autonomous institutions under Visvesvaraya Technological University.
I am curious about technology. Understanding how one thing is made as well as why it has been made this way, used to be an important “ingredient in my dish” to alleviate my technology addiction. The fervent desire for knowledge is always pushing me to discover the cutting edge frontier of technology transformation, I cannot give up revealing the complexity concealed by its simplicity.
If there is a single theme, a leitmotif that resonates vibrantly and conspicuously through-out my life, it is my enduring passion for greater and greater achievements in academics. My undergraduate studies at Surya World College of engineering and technology affiliated to Punjab Technical University, India, were pivotal in introducing me to the various facets of Computer Science ranging from Object oriented programming to database management and varying subjects like Human Resource management and various programming languages. I always had a very keen interest in subjects related slightly to management, subjects like Business Intelligence and Digital Media, Human System Interaction as well as Mobile business and Technology have always attracted me. The syllabi in under graduation, afforded me the rigors of intellectual practice, even while giving me the latitude to discover their intricacies and practical applications of each and every topic that I encountered.

In recent times, there is a revolutionary proliferation of computers in almost every industry. The technology’s blitzkrieg surge penetrated into all domains like Business, Industry, Education, Telecommunications, Medical, Entertainment and in the domestic front. This evolution of computer was more imminent in my environment while I was growing up. I have had an opportunity to work on different projects related to web technologies, mobile technologies and healthcare solutions. My undergraduate study helped me gain a comprehensive knowledge about different facets of software engineering. I wish to pursue my graduate studies in software engineering as an initial step to lay a solid platform to embark on my long-term research interest.
