Star Wars: Battlefront is one of the games I wasn't expecting to catch my eye. After all, the last Star Wars game I played was Yoda Stories...
From playing local split screen to being able to combat in 40 multiplayer battles across the galaxy, toggling from first-person to third-person, comparing perspectives from fighting on the battleground to firing upon group troops in AT-AT's, there seems to be a invisible barrier between what you can and cannot do when you play Star Wars: Battlefront.
Personally, I might stick with Yoda Stories but overall I am interested to see how the game is received upon its November 17th release.

Daniel burnham was a man with many great ideas, he had many plans for chicago, he originally wanted nine pier for the lake shore, but “in 1909, Daniel burnham, the most famous Chicago city planner, wanted Chicago to have several piers for shipping and entertainment. Only one was built however, and that one was placed at the mouth of the Chicago River. Construction began in 1914 of the formerly named Municipal Pier, and after $4.5 million in building costs, the pier opened to the public in 1916.” (Chamernik, Mike)
RPGs or role playing games are games in which the player takes on the roles of the characters and controls their actions in order to further character development. RPGs generally have a strong story and character back story that fully immerses the player in the fictional world. Final Fantasy 13 or FF13 for short is the 13th installment in the Final Fantasy franchise and it that falls under this genre of gaming. A game of this genre and style should strive to have well developed visuals, a complete story, full character backstories that are interesting, a non-linear gameplay, and a solid functioning combat system. These things among others are the backbone of games in general and meeting them in a way that creates an in-depth and fun experience is required. All these elements are existent in FF13 but some of them are not fine-tuned or developed enough in order to create an enjoyable experience. Based on those criteria Final Fantasy 13 falls short in compared to its previous installments and in the genre in general.
In one corner, a programmer is adding a few lines of code to the game, while at the same time watching VHS tapes of the original 80s Transformers cartoon. Every cubicle is filled to the brim with toys, memorabilia, paraphernalia and posters related to the 25-year old franchise. The original Hasbro toy line that focused on the war between two factions of transforming robots has, over two and a half decades, grown to encompass cartoons, movies, comic books, video games and much more. Sadly, the games have generally sucked ass. But no more!
Imagine flying through a ice covered planet or zooming through the sand plains of tattoine or battling against the dark side next to Luke Skywalker well sounds amazing right? These are the things that make the Star Wars universe so fascinating in the upcoming paragraphs about how Star Wars has elements of story, that make Star Wars so popular. Star Wars is a cultural institution of immense proportions. Its impact on Hollywood alone has been incalculable. It’s impossible to imagine Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., The Matrix, or The Lord of the Rings without Star Wars. Yes because all these movies have been impacted from Star Wars they all transfer you to a different era from you fighting off Nazis to walking into mordor.
American Romanticism and Transcendentalism has been a model for over a century in writing, but none has been so popular as the space western franchise known as Star Wars. For over the last 40 years, Star Wars has had enormous influences on society, though it is a story that has been retold countless times. George Lucas, an American Filmmaker echoed American Romantic and Transcendental ideas in his creation of Star Wars, which is perfectly seen when you compare the steps of the Hero's Journey and the journey of Star War's main protagonist, Luke Skywalker. There are many parallels between the two, especially in Return of the Jedi, the end of Luke Skywalker's Journey, and the last 3 steps of the Heroic Journey. By drawing parallels between the two, it is easily said that Luke Skywalker is the American Romantic hero.

I feel that the “Don’t Give Up The Ship” flag, that was flown on Oliver Hazard Perry’s ship during the battle of Lake Erie, needs to be kept in the museum; as it holds the historic relevance of the US Navy during the 1800’s and beyond. The flag was originally made in 1813,the Georgian era, making it 204 years old. This flag not only represents and inspires the midshipman of the Naval Academy, but it has been an inspiration to all sailors over the past 204 years. When you walk into the museum after visiting the second deck the first thing you see is this flag and you can’t miss it. The brown color with the spotting of the blue makes you realize just what those five words actually mean. I feel it was placed here, at the Naval Academy, for
The story of Anakin Skywalker has been around for many decades influencing the culture of its viewers. Anakin was a Jedi that felt limited even with the force, he believed that with that kind of power he should be able to save the life of the woman he loved, Padme. The Emperor had promise him that the dark side of the force could save people’s lives. Desperate to save Padme he went dark and did the bidding of the emperor. Sadly, he wasn’t able to save Padme, after she had died Anakin stayed with the dark force and is now known as Darth Vader. Anakin is relevant today because he portrays how we feel about wanting to save our loved one’s. We would do anything and everything if that meant we still have them there with us. He shows us that no matter
The current size, inherent values, and economic status of the United States owes greatly to the paramount figures and events that took place during the Early National Period of the country. However, while there is no doubt that such events- and the figures behind them- were of great importance and have molded the country into the pristine product that it is today, the various construction projects of that time have gone largely unnoticed. Canals, being one of the most prominent advances in transportation, are prime examples of forgotten catalysts of the American nation. The construction of canals- particularly the Erie Canal- during the 19th century played a key role in the geographic, economic, and cultural development of the country by
A tale as old as time itself, star crossed lovers, separated by forces bigger than themselves, crossing cultural boundaries to be together and paying the ultimate price. Our story starts in New York, New York, 1936. Joseph and Kelly had always been together, and now Joseph was going to study abroad and visit family in Germany. The two hugged and said their goodbyes as Joseph boarded the boat and took off. Kelly heard from him every day, until all at once the letters came with part blacked out with thick, heavy ink. Kelly became very concerned with the censorship of the letters and received no communication from Joseph about it, or maybe they did, and it was just redacted by the German censor bars. Things continued like this for awhile, then
While political and economic effects might be easier to see, social effects can sometimes be overshadowed but there are still tons of social aspects imprinting on the societal putty. One major social effect from movies involves the birth of a religion. In the current time, most religions have already been developed far too much for anyone to even think of creating a new one but yet again, pop culture surprises the world. The religion in question was solely based upon a film franchise started in 1977 that is now a household name among many. This franchise is Star Wars. In the Star Wars films there are many characters who identify themselves as Jedi. Most of the protagonists are Jedi and they describe the Jedi way as more of a lifestyle and

I graduated from college in May last year, from then on and even long before this monumental moment of my life, I have already been troubled by a fundamental question we all have to face as a human being. How will you lead your life?
In the recent installment of the Star Wars legacy, we were introduced to numerous new characters along with some old friends. We learned Rey was force sensitive and Kylo could connect with Rey in a almost visual room and each of them could see eachother no matter where they were at. But. I did not agree with the way LucasFilms killed off Luke Skywalker. Given yeah he did fight his spoiled apprentice back in the day Kylo, i think he shouldve been given a more proper send off. He gave the Rebellion time to escape the base and he made a fool of Kylo Ren but where was the epic lightsaber battle? When Obi Wan Kenobi died he at least died at the hand of Vader. If i were to rewrite the ending, i wouldve made it to where Luke struck down Kylo with
