Every community no matter how big or small can benefit from more people willing to make a change. Stand up for a cause by investing time and energy into it. We can volunteer our time to keep our streets clean. Also we can share our skills and knowledge and be positive role models. When you see something that bothers you, do some research on that issue. Part of standing up for what you believe in is learning to be courageous, organize events to raise awareness and educate others, or write a letter highlighting your issue to someone who governs your city, provincial government or your national representatives.
