Every community no matter how big or small can benefit from more people willing to make a change. Stand up for a cause by investing time and energy into it. We can volunteer our time to keep our streets clean. Also we can share our skills and knowledge and be positive role models. All of us have dealt with moments of loneliness and sadness, so be kind to everyone around you. We should all want to be engaged and active in our communities, and want to make difference. When you see something that bothers you, do some research on that issue. Part of standing up for what you believe in is learning to be courageous, organize events to raise awareness and educate others, or write a letter highlighting your issue to someone who governs your city, provincial government or your national representatives. Any wildlife in the area that come in contact with trash also risk injury, disease, and death. Encourage your city’s residents to reduce their negative environmental impact by composting their food waste and recycling their paper and plastic. No matter the size of your city’s population or the square footage of your town, you will benefit your city government, your local residents, and visiting tourists when you maintain your streets. Furthermore, they say two heads think better than one. When different skills and experiences collide, eye-opening ideas and solutions emerge. When you share with others, it helps deepen your own knowledge and engrains what you know.
