Dear Aurora Public Schools Board members,
Should sports in school be canceled or not?Sports in school should not be canceled.Because Kids love sports, sports help improve grades, and if kids want to play sports in school they should pay.
First KIds love sports, most kid or teens devote hours on a sport because they love that sport, If parents complain about their kids spending too much hours on sports, then it would be like parents complaining about their kids playing too much video games. I’m pretty sure parents would rather have their son or daughter play sports than video games. Also, when kids play in sports their active and they're not bothered by being in a classroom they're having fun and running around.Sports is also an education and
Sports are a crucial part of an individual 's character. Counter arguments made against having sports at schools are getting more and more public. The arguments make people, think again about having students play sports. Sports are useful because they give players skills they can use on and off the field: strength, leadership, and confidence.
They don't think about paying for the sport they are going to play. This can make students second-guess themselves about playing and make them not want to play their sport. Schools should want more and more students to play sports. These reasons are terrible for students to stay in active and not play any sports. “Taxpayers are saying, ‘Let’s get rid of sports. We don’t have to pay for them,’ School boards are saying ‘Hey, it’s not mandatory to offer these programs.’ What we’re saying is, ‘Well, we still have something to offer that is very important in this country.’” (Popke, 2007, p. xx). Sports teach to students a lot in their life, it's a great deal of responsibility. So when students aren't playing sports they can be missing out on important lessons in their life. “While these programs are important to the students’ educational growth, the bills inevitably add up.”(Cerling & Herman, 2007, p.
The average family spends $100-$500 a month on sports. People have been doing sports for ever. Some people would be very angry if schools decided to get rid of them. Sports are dangerous though. They are causing parents to pressure their kids, students are becoming sleep deprived, and they are dangerous even though they can be healthy in some ways. Youth sports are harmful to students because they can be parents are pressuring their kids, they are dangerous, and many students are becoming sleep deprived.
Sports are a popular pastime among all ages and types of people. People not only participate in them for fun, but also for money, physical fitness, rush of competition, and for many other personal reasons. Playing sports is especially common among young people in schools. Athletics are great and enjoyable for many reasons, but there can be a point where sports participation can go too far and become negative for children and adults. Sports specialization for young people is an increasing trend that results in sports having a negative impact on individuals and society.
Hello Fellow Mayor, Have you ever wondered how many people get injured on sports fields? I think we should get a new baseball and football field. The fields we have now are in rough shape and they need to be fixed up. Football is a very physical and dangerous. I think the fields are dangerous too because they may have potholes or other things.
One reason schools should get rid of sports is that sports are expensive, and they make school start earlier in the morning. Sports are very expensive, and take away money that could be used for better things to help the school, or to help you. There are schools out there that have all sports teams, but their school is a disaster, and with the money they get from canceling sports, they can repair their school. Sports are taking away money from your education. Also, sports makes school start earlier in the morning, so everyone has to get up earlier because of sports.
For sometime, schools have been debating if sport programs should go, or stay. Having athletics as an option can be a major distraction and could prevent students from learning to the best of their abilities. Therefore, school sports should be eliminated to save districts money, allow students more free time, and help them focus on academics.
“Sports are the coolest things a kid can do, and it is at school”. So if school is boring for the child, sports can make it better because it is right after school and it's at school. Schools should not get rid of sports programs because sports improve academics, sports programs also improve health and focus and they help build strong communities.
School should not get rid of sports because not all parents can afford club sports. In the article Sports Are More Important Than Ever states, “ Yes, club sports-that is, private leagues outside of school-would be an option for some, but fees, equipment, and travel expenses can add up to thousands of dollars per season.” Clubs for sports can be very expensive and like it said, they add up to thousands of dollars per season. Also, I’m an athlete. A lot of kids at many schools are athletes and if schools got rid of sports kids parents would have the option to put them into club sports, but some parents do not have the money to put their kids into club sports. Sports at school give athletes to try any sport. If a student for example plays
Also, participating in a competitive sport also takes up time because of the intense training schedule that is involved. Because of that, kids may stress about schoolwork or other activities.
youth sports [were] the one haven for good sportsmanship," says Darrell Burnett, a clinical child psychologist and youth sports psychologist. "Not anymore. It's not just a game anymore." With technology (etc) distracting our children with violence and so on, we cannot afford to ruin what sports may do for them. With sports being just one of the few things left that can contribute to success in life, education, and health, parents need not to put any sort of unnecessary pressure on their kids at such a young age, or any age for that matter, ever.
Currently, 55.5% of high school students across the globe play a sport. According to the World Sports Encyclopedia, there are over 8,000 indigenous sports in existence. Team athletics are taking the world by storm, and young players are benefiting mentally and physically from these activities. However, dropout rates are increasing, and injuries are becoming more and more common. So while athletics fit the bill for some students, should they be required?
Sports at school should stay because they can help your education. One reason schools should keep sports is that they help your grades. Schools job is literally to help you learn math, english, science and common sense. But schools don’t know common sense. Because if schools want you to learn, they would have sports stay.
Should the school provide the sports for kids? It would help the kids with leadership and stuff. Well I say no to that we should not have to provide the sport for the kids. One reason is that kids will focus on the sport more than their on their school work. Also, some people who play sports sometimes their grades drop down a lot.
..., younger kids can lose interest if they are not good at it, and it can embarrass them. Sport Education is done and taught by teachers to get kids involved in physical activity and to keep them motivated to learn. The most important thing is to keep the kids wanting to come to class and having them be physically fit. In the long run, Sport Education benefits every child that is involved and hopefully they will want to continue sports and activities outside of the classroom for the rest of their life.
