Sports Lesson Planning
Lesson Plan 1
Warm Up
The short warm up task will involve running around in a confined space
- a circle. The children will run round in a specific direction until
something is shouted (For example, a number). Numbers can also be
assigned to certain other body movements, for instance, if I shouted
"Three!" they would have to jump. The warm up will last about five
minutes, so as not to tire them out.
Skills and Practice
For a practice/skills based activity, an obstacle course would be set
up for them to complete (see diagram) while dribbling a football. They
will each get a turn at this, and hopefully, it will prove to be fun
as well as good practice. This activity will last about 5 - 10
minutes.

Text Box: The aim of this activity is to practice ball control.
The Game
After the warm up and practise sessions, the students will get to play
a competitive game. They will be split into two teams - one team
wearing a certain colour (e.g. red bibs). They will play on a standard
(ish) football pitch layout - incorporating two goals etc. (no
specific surface required) Aim of the game: To score in the opponent's
goal. The match will have two intermissions (halves) and a five minute
break in between halves. Half length: 15 minutes.
Text Box: Anything could be used as a goal – from a mat to proper goalposts.

Cool Down
After the match, the children will take part in a 'cool down'
activity, which would be a short jog around the playground or defined
area.
Lesson Plan 2
Warm Up
The short warm up task would involve a few exercises to get the body
warmed up - stretches, push ups and sit-ups (etc.). They will then jog
around the playground / a defined space. The warm-up will last about
five minutes.
Skills and Practice
For a practice/skills based activity, the children will be split up
... for a clue as to where the ball will be hit. 'I think you're right,
This plan helps students realize self-awareness in soccer that could help improve themselves as well as help benefit the team all together. Game one introduces the students to the rules of the game, and the foundation of how the game is played, like you use your feet to kick the ball, you pass between eachother to kick the ball into the net to score...
Within this paper I will be discussing a research based Physical Education curriculum program known as SPARK P.E. SPARK stands for Sports, Play, Active, Recreation, for Kids and it strives to help improve the lives of young and adolescent children through exercise and fun activities. I will be discussing the goals of SPARK, the positives of the program, and the specifics into a few of the packages they offer to schools and various after school programs.
“The Goal” is a book written by Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Jeff Cox in 1984. The book is very famous in the management field. In 2004, the author published the third revision of it and celebrated selling over than three million copied of it around the world. Also, the goal book is taught in over than 120 collages. Through soccer, teachers, students, and parents, have come together to form a family-like bond. Because of the lack of funding my school does not have the luxury of having multiple sports. Thus, preventing us from having a soccer team. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about my teachers, it is that they love soccer. One day four friends, a teacher, and I came together and thought about hosting a family soccer game. The game was a hit. We had nearly thirty people show up to play. Due to the mass success, we decided to make it a weekly thing. Since then, my school rents out our local indoor soccer field every Friday to play soccer. There’s nothing like being kicked square in the face by your math teacher. Though this may all seem cliché, Friday
Imagine what the world of college football would be like without Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow was homeschooled throughout his life, but was able to play football at a local public high school in Florida throughout his high school career. The controversy of home school students playing in public school sports has been going on for many years. According to the Home School Leaders Defense Association (HSLDA), there are currently 21 states that have already allowed homeschool students to participate in public school extra-curricular activities, while other states are still debating, including the state of Alabama. The HSLDA, states that " In 2016 the Alabama High School Athletic Association amended its bylaws to allow homeschoolers and other 'non-traditional'
The purpose of the study was to compare the effectiveness of two sport-specific training methodologies using a novel stickhandling and puck control (SPC) training device; physical practice (PP) and physical practice and observational learning (PP+OL), on skill acquisition and retention of SPC skills in competitive hockey players. Male (N=40), atom-aged (2005; 2006 birth years), hockey players were recruited to participate and assigned to one of three groups; PP (n=16), PP+OL (n=15) and control (n=9). All groups completed one 50-minute familiarization session and two assessment sessions [pre-training (Apre) and post-training (Apost)] consisting of off- and on-ice assessments. The PP group received eight, 50-minute on-ice SPC training sessions.
Brazil sports teams are very successful due to the fact that they have some of the best coaches in the world. But the federations/institutions do not just hire anyone to coach, they want the best and require certain levels of education, licenses, and trainings; which adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Ministry of Education. Two teams of eleven players each participate in getting the ball into the other team’s goal, thus scoring a goal. The team that has scored more goals at the end of the game wins. If both teams have scored an equal number of goals, then the game is a tie. Each team is controlled by a captain. In game play, players make an effort to create goal scoring occasions through individual control of the ball, such as dribbling, passing the ball to a team-mate, and by taking shots at the goal, that is guarded by the goalkeeper belonging to the other team....
Moreover, teamwork skills are demonstrated through co-ed sports, however, continue to build into workforce environments, as well as communication skills. In society teamwork is displayed through a workforce where all the members work together to meet the requirements set up for them. An example of this is, at McDonalds, all the crew members and managers work as a team to meet the requirements of the customers. This is the same in co-ed sports, which would develop at a young age and be useful in careers later on in life. An example of this in co-ed sports is, in floor hockey teamwork is required in order for the team to be successful and win the game.
For some, the summer coming to a close is devastating but for my friends and I the fun has just begun. Last summer I had decided I wanted to play high school volleyball, in which means that I really need to go to open gyms and the big volleyball camp that the whole team goes to in order to prepare for the season. The volleyball camp this year was at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) the camp was a 4 day camp and we got to stay in the dorms. Being able to stay in the dorms and have some freedom was really exciting for Adrianna, Emma, Emma and I, since we have never done anything like that before. But it was kind of nerve racking because all of the sophomore girls told us how bad the camp at LSSU (Lake

When it comes to teaching, there are many different ways and types of methods you can use to teach your students. One of the most common ways of teaching is by using Sport Education. This type of teaching style is best used for elementary students. According to Daryl Siedentop, a professor from Ohio State University believes that class should teach kids about skills, teamwork, and the importance behind each sport or activity. Sport Education recreates the meaning behind gym class.
Physical education class provides a unique experience for students. It enables them to think, act and feel simultaneously while learning. In the course of learning, students are able to simulate movement patterns that are important in the process of skill acquisition and motor competence. While motor and sport skill competence is an important aspect of learning in physical education, the pervasive public health message reinforcing the necessity of enhanced physical activity for health has generally induced a curriculum based on fitness and health ideology in physical education (Liukkonen, Aweele, Vereijken, Alfermann, & Theodorakis, 2007). This has been done at the expense of developing movement abilities (Kirk & Tinning, 1994 in Liukkonen
Sport, according to the oxford dictionary, can be defined as an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. Sport may seem like just another, simple five letter word yet it has the power and aptitude to teach humanity such fundamental and intellectual life lessons. In my speech I will explore these vital lessons, such as failure, success, perseverance, teamwork, tolerance, responsibility and discipline by exhibiting how each lesson can be learnt and utilised.
