Injuries often happen in sports and playing, and the kids gettin hurt are younger than they should be. Children as yound as seven and eight years old, are getting injuries bad enough for it to affect their futures. Even so, lessening this is possible if you just try.
There are multiple ways to lessen the risk if people would just stay in shape during off season. When kids aren't playing they would much rather lay around, but going from laying down to running miles a day is a big difference. It isn't easy for your body to do that, so just stay in shape. Parents can help too, by encouraging their kids and paying attention.

That’s where the advancements in concussion detection and treatment comes into play. According to the article “Advancements in Concussion Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment” the writer states “the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 207,830 trips to an emergency room annually between 2001 and 2005 due to sports participation injuries” ( “Advancements in Concussion Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment | The Sport Journal” ). The report from the CDC shows how many reported sports injuries occur in a short period. However, this does not include the vast number of injuries not reported every year. That is a lot of injuries that go unreported and not cared for. We can help make it to where all kids after a concussion report it and get treated by educating them on the dangers they face if they continue to play as they are and tell them they will be right back to playing after the testing has been completed and they are clear to play again. This is not hard to do it’s just the fact of telling the kids the truth of the matter and them knowing the tests aren’t hard and don’t take long to pass. Capstone Athletes are experiencing a spike in career-ending injuries in competitive activities, which is affecting athlete participation. Therefore, high schools must make athlete safety a priority and begin funding more to investigate safety options. As the levels progress from youth, to high school, to collegiate, to professional sports, the injury rate seems to spike. Throughout the years 1931-2012 annual research showed that in any level of sports more injuries and fatalities are contained in the levels with less protection. Between the years of 1931 and 2012 there was an estimated count of 1027 total fatalities due to sports related injuries connected to the sport of football.
