Songs, videos, books, and posters are a great way to help child care teachers define the different emotions for preschoolers because it provides the vocabulary associated with emotion in a way that grabs the interest of the preschoolers. Games and activities that focus on the different emotions are creative, fun, and easy ways of providing opportunities for preschoolers to not only learn to discover themselves but to also allow them ways to understand others and their emotions as well. It is important for preschoolers to learn to understand others and their emotions because it sets the foundation for socializing and obtaining strong future friendships. Preschooler need many opportunities the experience change because it helps them to learn how to manage changes in schedules. The help of child care teachers, through comfort and reassurance, will help prevent undue stress during changes and transitions. Being able to understand and implement rules, with the support and guidance of child care teachers, allows preschoolers to learn the social norms and what behavior is appropriate in various social situations. Opportunities designed for success, with a balance of independent and supervised experiences, can help empower preschoolers’ decision-making and problem-solving
