Slime is a special play material made up of tangled polymer. It is mostly made by mixing polyvinyl with the chemical compound known as borate ions, you can describe it as a liquid and mix it in a sizable container for mixing. In a more difficult explanation, slime is more commonly known amongst scientists as a Non-Newtonian fluid. These are thick liquids that have a numerous selection of viscosity.
Slime, has a different viscosity, based on the amount of strength you apply when playing with it. Slowly placing your hands on the slime is being described as a small amount of weight being applied to the slime, they will feel thin and water-like, letting you sink your hand into the jelly like substance. Punching it, or throwing it against a wall,

this will not affect anything but the shape of the slime, because it is a thicker substance, so it is more vulnerable to more things. One way to describe slime is to say that it consists of tangled polymer molecules, a chain-like formation, think of the polymer, think of spaghetti noodles.
When put together on a plate, the noodles then become a tangled mess. The mixtures of the polymer strands will give some viscosity, a cross-linking reactant, is also present in slime to give it the non-newtonian liquid behaviour. The tangled reactants are ions that help the polymer strands connect with weak ionic bonds for a limited time. These bonds, ironically, are strong enough to hold the polymer strands together, yet, but not strong enough to make the entire thing a …show more content…
solid. Reportings of Borax, a widely used laundry detergent brand, also used to make the slime may cause itchy eyes, skin rashes/irritation or breathing troubles, and may even damage fertility. Going back to the Polymer links, examples of Polymers are cornstarch, a sort of jelly-like substance that is able to keep something stuck together. Of course polymer substances have a lot of Viscosity. In a more simpler term, the more Viscosity a substance has, the slower it is. Like ketchup or Ranch. Things like water have low Viscosity. Slime is also known as having Shear-thickening characteristics. Shear thickening is when you apply a strong force, like a punch to the slime. Snow Slime is one of the strongest slimes. It is made of stronger substances and hardens quickly. If you are wanting to experience a good time with slime, Snow Slime would not be a good choice. Another thing about slime is, if you want a distinct color to your slime you should add food coloring.
Any word coloring will change the color of slime. Such as Galaxy Slime, you should add silver, purple, white, pink, and little bit of black. For your Galaxy Slime it is a colorful slime and one of the most fun slime. So have fun making it!
Think of slime as a playful object. You can tangle it, you can throw it, you can even eat it...actually don't do that. You may die. Slime has a lot of materials in it that can be or could be deadly. So when making Slime make sure to be careful.
Elmer's Glue is a big brand right now. It is one of the key ingredients in slime glue. Glue is what makes the slime form together, without the glue slime would be nothing. Even on Elmer’s Glue website, they have Slime recipes on the front page! Also if you scroll down you get the same result, Slime, Slime, Slime!
Borax, another one of slimes key ingredient! Borax is an important boron compound. Borax is made from composites from seasonal lakes. Borax is a made of little white crystals. Borax isn't only used for Slime. Borax is a detergent booster. So Borax is not safe for everybody, it will have different symptoms to different

Kool-aid was invented by a man named Edwin Perkins He was born in the state of Iowa but he eventually went to live in Nebraska. At about 1927 he invented Kool-aid He was inspired by the drink Fruit smack, but because he wanted to lower the cost of shipping he removed all fluids from the drink. This dry powder eventually became Kool-aid. However Kool-aid did not always go by the same name It was originally Kool-Ade but because Ade refers to juice he had to change it tho the name it has today. Eventually Kool-aid got their own mascot the cool-aid man (He often broke through walls), They also had a comic with 7 issues, along with the Atari 2600 came the “Adventures of Kool-aid Man”. Kool-aid can still be bought today and has manny flavors
The purpose of this experiment was to create a polymer by reacting a mixture of decanedioyl dichloride and dichloromethane with a mixture of water, 1,6-hexadiamine and sodium carbonate. Specifically, we created the polymer Nylon-6,10. Nylon-6,10 polymers are used in a vast majority of things we use in everyday life such as zippers, the bristles in brushes, and even car parts. This experiment was different from the industrial method of making nylon because that takes place at a much higher temperature. A polymer is a substance that has a structure made of similar or identical units bonded together. All polymerizations fall into two categories: step-growth and chain-growth (both of which we used to form our polymer). Step growth polymerization
The bonding of the fat particles will clearly be seen if the experiment works and the milk fat forms when the heavy cream is shaken. If it were not for the bonding of these molecules, the fat would not solidify and separate from the liquid. The experiment is based off the mass of solid milk fat formed when shaking heavy cream, which could not occur if fats (a type of lipid) were not present. Heavy cream is made up of fat molecules and milk, which will separate in the experiment.
surfactants. They are made up of two amphiphilic moieties connected at the level of the head
After thorough investigations of the evidence, it seems like Maroon Flash is the person who hit Reveille while riding his bike. We used DNA evidence, fingerprint evidence, blood evidence, and hair evidence. For fingerprint evidence, we looked at fingerprints left on the notebook the cadet managed to grab from the suspect. On the cover, we found the cadet’s fingerprints, Bikerman’s fingerprints, and multiple of Maroon Flash’s fingerprints. On the pages of the notebook, we only found Maroon Flash’s fingerprints. This seems to clarify that the notebook was his, and that it was grabbed from his backpack when he hit Reveille and rode off. For blood evidence, we used the Kastle Myer Blood test; we tested for the presence of blood on Reveille’s fur, Bikerman’s shirt, and Maroon Flash’s shirt.
Florida is known for warm weather, beaches and the Everglades National Park. With nearly 20 million people currently living in the state, Jesse Welch is capitalizing on the Florida lifestyle and the passion people have for the state.
Curare, also known scientifically as, Chondrodendron tomentosum is a substance which is bitter and grows on the stems and barks of some South American plants. Curare is known to paralyze the motor nerves. Traditionally, curare was used by South American Indians to poison their arrows by combining the curare obtained from plants and various poisons from animals and then mix everything up to make syrup like substance. The Indians then would coat the syrup on to their arrows and use the arrows to kill prey and later eat them.
They have certainly come a long way from their early formulations” (Toselli, p. 14). As Agapakis noted, nitrocellulose continues to be the main ingredient in today’s nail polishes (2014, [online]). However it is with a slight twist, Toselli reported that the form of nitrocellulose is as nitrocellulose cotton, which is a liquid mixed with micro sized pieces of cotton (p. 14.). According to L’Oréal, there are “…four primary qualities of nail polish: application, drying, glossiness and duration” (2015, [online]). L’Oréal refers to the quality of application as the ease to which the nail polish goes on the finger nail (2015). The characteristic, drying, refers to the time length after applying the nail polish for it to be hard to the touch. Glossiness refers to the shine a polish gives off, while duration refers to the length of time a polish lasts on the nails before chipping occurs as L’Oréal has explained (2015). To achieve each characteristic in one bottle of nail polish different ingredients must be utilized. As Secret Ingredient: Nail Polish (2011, [online]) has stated, “Nail polish usually consists of four major types of ingredients: polymers, plasticizers, pigments and solvents.” Each of these ingredients contribute to the four primary qualities of nail polish. Besides the four major ingredients, there are a long list of additional
For our purposes Slime will be designed as any non Newtonian fluid. If this term sounds hopelessly technol , Please read on-It is actually quite simple to understand what this term means it is important to sample the theories of Isaac Newton (1642-1727) , one of the greatest scientist who ever lived. He made many revolutionary discoveries in the fields of mathematics motion and gravity. But he also did a lot of work with fluids. Slime is a pretty cool project that is fun to make ,play with, decoratie, and personalize, while also being pentest 2 learning tool. It’s an ozzy material, but will not stick to your skin. Sometimes it looks solid and sometimes it looks like a liquid.Do you know why this happens? You can use other things that are most borax slime can also be made using liquid starch And maddie Rae’s Slime Glue. How is slime
Touch was different when mixing them because none of them were sticky and it ended up being sticky because of the soap and glycerin mixing. The taste was soapy, we could taste the water, not the glycerin because it was not safe, and the soap tasted like soap. This is because when you add glycerin it makes it stronger, it doesn’t make anything new it makes it stronger because when you add glycerin it makes it thicker. What happens is when you touch it with the glove you can bounce it because a bubble’s worst enemies are oil, dirt, evaporation, and gravity.
In today’s times, kids all over the world are making different types of slimes to keep themselves entertained. Slime has been around for many years, but recently there has been new ways to make slime at home. Slime can be made using many different ingredients. Some common ingredients used to make slime include; Borax, baking soda, contact lens solution, water, and liquid starch. All of these slime recipes have one ingredient in common, glue. Kids have an array of substances they can add to their slime mixture to create more fun. Additional substances can include food coloring, glitter, Orbeez, small toys, beads, or even confetti. Does decorating slime mixtures increase the consistency of a standard slime mixture? Orbeez can make the slime feel
Dipping or packing a lip is one of the most recognizable things a person can do. The sound of someone packing a can is loud and if there is a bottle with something in it you are unsure of, mostly likely it is dip spit.
Surface Tension: The contractive tendency of a liquid that allows it to resist an external force. This is measured in Newton.
Children everywhere know popular nursery rhymes which they tend to use on the playground. One song they might sing is “Eenie, Meenie.” The song became very popular when kids needed to pick the person who would be “it” for a recess game, since it provided a fun rhyme to go along with making the random pick. Although seeming innocent, many children's songs have been changed because of their past renditions being R rated for kids to be saying. And “Eenie, Meenie” is one song that has a grueling history. This may just seem like a fun nursery rhyme; however the past behind it is much more cruel and hateful. However most children songs don’t simply vanish, but instead people will alter the wording to make it much more acceptable.
chains instead of hydrogen atoms. Cross-linking is another way in which the polymer can be made stronger. This involves ultraviolet radiation that bombards the polymer with electrons and formulates bonds between the molecular chains of the polymers. This is like linear polyethylene but different in that it is more impact resistant, and it has a much higher density. This allows it to be stored or be used with different chemicals that would normally cause the polymer to desolve.3 This can start to become a problem because as the polymer continues to become chemically enhanced. So the ways of dissolving and recycling the polymer become more difficult.
