Introduction
I will be reviewing the Sit4Life website to evaluate whether or not the website does an adequate job in the following categories:
Informative headers and footers
Easy Navigation using a site map, a table of contents, back-to-top links, and textual navigation buttons
Extra features such as FAQ, a search box, resource links, etc.
Links to social-media sites
Simple backgrounds and conservative color combinations
Easy to read text that is short, chunks information, and is simply written
Clear, informative links
Additionally, I will be giving feedback as to whether or not the website is a good model to base our redesign on.
Audience
Looking at the Sit4Life website, it is clear the target audience is middle-aged to senior adults.

The header includes the company name, website navigation, operating hours, search bar, online chat link, toll free number, wishlist, shopping cart, and a my account logon for returning customers. The typefaces are larger than the the body of the website which help users find information, but the use of the typeface is inconsistent and …show more content…
I found that the text was small and difficult to read. The placement of this specific text was off the side which gives the impression that it is not important. The text in each product was short and included needed information about the product but was very difficult to read. The text is a grey color that is not enough contrast that makes reading the text difficult. The writing for these products is concise, informative, and easy to understand.
Clear, Informative Links
The links have short and descriptive names that help make website navigation simple. The links to each specific products gave more detailed information on the product. This information varied from each product on the type of additional information you received. Some information was specific while others were generic.
Add-Ons
The live chat, toll free number, and search ball are all included in the header which makes accessing these additional services simple and convenient on every webpage. I did not like that links to find out more about the company, FAQ’s, and contact is only located in the footer and is difficult to locate. The entry page is the only location I could find that included a link to the about us page. On each specific product there is a button to quickly add a product to your cart for purchase. Even though the site includes a wish list, I could not find a way to add a product to
messages are used to draw in the reader and stir up interest in the product.
At the moment the company website is simply just a blank page with hay in the background. This should definitely be changed soon to fit in with a market continuously becoming more high-tech, as it could potentially bring in more customers. There is no company logo, which should be changed to provide customers with an image marking Wesco’s quality product. And finally the company could use a bigger fumigation barn (used to put pesticides on hay) in order to stop the outsourcing of this work to other companies. Other than these few suggestions, Wesco is a very well put together company and we think it will continue to thrive in the future.
Right under the website's “About Us” drop down are 4 other tabs. They're headers are Profile and Mission of DG, Historical Milestones, Store Maps and Locations, and Serving Others. Aside from the store locator, I found these to contain other elements that were mentioned in their mission
Firstly there are many colors that have many different hidden meanings in the ad. This paper will talk about the meanings of the colors white, red, and grey. These three colors meanings and why they are placed were they are in the ad. The ad’s layout is also well done, and precise laid out. The paper will use a list that tells what makes an ad layout exquisite. The writing of the ad is impeccable. There are three reasons why the State Farm ad’s writing is extravagant. State Farms ad meets these requirements and many more.
Visual advertisements are straight and to the point for some people. People do not take into account the visual messaging going on throughout the ad. It takes companies a considerable amount of time to create advertisements that are somewhat appealing to the human eye. By adding bright colors and large letters the ad will grab anyone’s attention. In fact, people will be able to see it and read it from a distance better. To show that there are many of small details in a visual advertisement, look at the Old Spice Matterhorn shower gel advertisement.
The font is of basic type with various colors. In fact, the ad for Nutrilite gives us full information with all the details, something the audience knows with one glimpse of the ad. In this ad, the art of persuasion is very strong. The sparkling faces give energy and firm determination to get something out of it, generating a strong belief in benefiting from this dietary supplement.
The primary target market for satellite radio should consist of adults ages 25-50. These are customers that make most money and will be willing to pay extra for the quality entertainment service. This target market can also be divided into the smaller segments. The key segments are:
The audience I decided to target was mostly kids, but it’s also strongly directed towards adults and young adults. I focused the most on persuading kids because kids are our future and kids will grow up with the idea of
In the top-right corner of the advert there is the Schwarzkopf logo in silver, set in a black background. To the left of this it says “111 YEARS Schwarzkopf” in a clear font. This instils confidence in the viewer that the product is of good quality and they will receive the benefits of the company’s long experience. Underneath this, th...
Zukin shares her information in short, simple sentences of independent and subordinate clauses. She uses a word style that is very concrete and formal, utilizing ordinary and general terms. Words are meant to be taken literally with few scientific terminology being used when presenting research. Each bit of information is spread out in paragraphs regardless if it contains a lone sentence or a standard amount. For an educational article, most would expect well thought paragraphs filled with factual information and supporting arguments. Also, by knowing Zukin’s background information as well as reading the article, readers can tell that she is knowledgeable in the field of shopping. It is ironic because the consumer society and culture is her area of expertise as well as the fact that she is an active participant in shopping herself (Sharon). Lastly, Zukin asserts a tone in this article that is calm and informative but also personal in that she expresses zeal in her work. Zukin never argues with the audience but rather chooses to present the information and supporting arguments. This lets the audience decide for themselves if she is right or wrong (provided that there is no bias). Overall, the style and document design are not what is expected of a persuasive, academic article but Zukin does show her knowledge and enthusiasm in the
The most targeted audience is Republican Male and Female viewers between the ages of 25-55. The audience uses these media options in varying amounts.
How to Position the Product in Relation to Other Products – Where to sell/to whom do you sell? The Right Marketing Mix – Is the product right? , Is it sold in the right market? right places? , At the right price?, Is the product promoted in the right places?
Next is in terms of the design and aesthetics. Layout that being used for this website is a plain white which easier people to read the text that is in black, in contrast and suitable for the concept of showroom online. The font is also suits which is not too big and not too small to be read by people. To highlight the main subject or the main product, the font is being bold to alert customers that they choose the right one. There is no audio available for this website or even a video. But somehow, as it was a home furnishing website, most of the pictures being used by the website is in JPEG format to deliver a clear view of the products to customers.
This includes the copyright information for the website, the name of the website 's author, the business name and address, if applicable, and the date of the most recent update. Some Web page footers include links to other pages within the website, an email link or an RSS link. The top of the Web page contains the most valuable "real estate" on the website, so footer content is of lesser importance. The footer is coded in either CCS or HTML. Footers should be designed for the user, should consolidate the number of links, should be neat and tidy, and kept simple (Miller,
