Leaders throughout history are usually looked up to, however, there are few that will always be remembered in a negative way. Two leaders in history that may be questionable whether they were actual leaders, were both responsible for blindly leading people: Adolf Hitler and Kim Jong Un. Hitler was once known as a great leader, who managed to convince not only a whole political party, but many individuals throughout Europe to oppress, mass murder and commit a genocide against a race, which lead to about six million Jews to perish (Biography.com). While in today’s time, Kim Jong Un, the current dictator of North Korea, is leading his country into a peculiar situation, due to the fact that there are many opinions on North Korea in current event (CNN). These controversial individuals have many similar and opposing characteristics that will be discussed throughout this paper. …show more content…
Hitler was first a military leader and climbed up the ranks in politics in the Nazi Party (Megargee). Kim Jong Un was also involved in the military and he graduated from Kim Il Sung Military Academy in 2007 (Diaz). They have both killed many people throughout their reign of power. Both were or are at the highest-ranking positions in their country. Hitler, was the chancellor from 1933 to 1945 in Germany (Biography.com). Kim Jong Un is the current leader of North Korea, and they both were dictators in their given country. They also both ruled by fear and tried to keep people in line through intimidation tactics (Diaz). Although many aspects of their leadership were similar, there are many
ISIS has shown that they are one of the biggest terror threats in the world (CNN). People even are starting comparing ISIS to the Nazis from World War II(Luckert). Nazis and ISIS are very similar, but they are also very different. The similarities are shocking to see that history could possibly repeat itself and people still haven’t learned from the Nazis’ time. The Nazis exterminated more than six million innocent civilians. If no one stops ISIS, who knows what they will be able to accomplish.
You were taught manners since you were a child, but what would happen if you had the power and had control over the rules. In the beginning of Lord of the Flies, Jack in the begin was fine with just being the leader of the hunters, but he still greeds for more power, and wants complete control. As for Hitler, he wanted some power to show Germans to take pride in the country again, but same as jack he just wanted more. In the adventure novel Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, and the articles on Hitler by BBC, and Kershaw highlights the correlations, and disparity between Jack and Hitler. Both figures show how human nature can change within people based on their environment around them. In the information given people can make comparisons to Jack and Hitler. Each show how their size and age don't matter to them in their situation when they want to gain followers. Hitler and Jack both take their situations seriously, but their views are different. They are both known for their ways of fighting and their urge to win, which show how narcissistic they are. Jack and Hitler, both show how human nature can change in anybody no matter the age, or how they were raised
Jack is a character in Lord of the Flies who needs power; he is addicted to it and he can’t get enough of it. Ralph on the other hand, focuses on others, and his main goal is to benefit everyone. Jack and Ralph are opposites, and that’s exactly what North and South Korea are, opposites. Kim Jong-un is like Jack, they both love power and abuse it to help themselves first. Moon Jae-in from the South uses his power to try to obtain peace and unite everyone, similarly to
The BPP and the KKK are both very similar in many aspects. Many people believe that the Black Panthers and the Ku Klux Klan are polar opposites. My group and I can disagree with that statement. We have done research and have found not just differences, but also similarities. One of these similarities being, both groups are fighting for something they strongly believe in. The things they are fighting for may be different, but they are still both fighting for it. This similarity leads me into a major difference between these groups. That difference is what the two groups are fighting for. The BPP was fighting for equality and protection over colored lives. However, the KKK was fighting for the exact opposite. The Klan was fighting against equality
1984 demonstrates a dystopian society in Oceania by presenting a relentless dictator, Big Brother, who uses his power to control the minds of his people and to ensure that his power never exhausts. Aspects of 1984 are evidently established in components of society in North Korea. With both of these society’s under a dictator’s rule, there are many similarities that are distinguished between the two. Orwell’s 1984 becomes parallel to the world of dystopia in North Korea by illustrating a nation that remains isolated under an almighty ruler.
Adolf Hitler and Fidel Castro have lots of similarities and differences. For example they both used the weakness of their enemies, propaganda and sense of nationalism. They also have differences such as Castro came into power with a revolution while Hitler didn’t. Hitler was part of Nazi Party while Castro didn’t have a party. It was just him and his supporters. On their rise to power both Hitler and Castro used the weakness of their opponents. For Hitler it was the Weimar Government and for Castro it was Batista. Batista was seen as an American puppet as he made an agreement with the US which stated that he would protect US business interests when he comes to power. This situation though calls for the comparison of the policies implemented
Adolf Hitler and Fidel Castro are two sing party state dictators that when you compare them you find out they are reasonably similar. For example they both used the weakness of their enemies, manipulating propaganda and the pandering to the sense of nationalism of the public to gain support. There are some notable differences between them though such as how Castro came into power with a revolution while Hitler didn’t. Hitler was part of Nazi Party while Castro didn’t have a party. It was just him and his supporters. This situation though calls for the comparison not between Hitler and Castro directly but one of the policies implemented by them to determine if in any ways these two dictators ruled their countries in the same way.
They like to damage people’s confidence, because they know they do not have good self-esteem. Also, dictators are very reliant on others, because they want people to do their dirty work. When two dictators come together, they can possibly go to war as allies together and make horrific changes in their surroundings. To conclude, the similarities, bullies and dictators seem to have comparable traits. But I believe a dictator is more menacing than a bully, because a dictator controls a country’s way of life, has thousands of supporters and they try to pick on somebody.
The corruption is modeled after the very real corruption in North Korea and is used as a lens to examine the country’s governing style and its effect on the North Korean people. The oppression of these people is a direct result of the ghost of the original leader of North Korea, Kim Il-sung, manifesting as a personality cult that brainwashes many powerful people, in the same way the First King brainwashes and controls the Central Military Police, leading to the oppression of the common
of one leader from the 1930’s Adolf Hitler. Comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler may sound odd to many but; throughout this essay you’ll begin to cite similarities between them. For example: they blame others for problems having to do with their countries, they use racism to rise in power and lastly they cause mass deportations.

Adolf Hitler joined a small political party in 1919 and rose to leadership through his emotional and captivating speeches. He encouraged national pride, militarism, and a commitment to the Volk and a racially "pure" Germany. Hitler condemned the Jews, exploiting anti-Semitic feelings that had prevailed in Europe for centuries. He changed the name of the party to the National Socialist German Workers' Party, called for short, the Nazi Party. By the end of 1920, the Nazi Party had about 3,000 members. A year later Hitler became its official leader Führer. From this, we can see his potential of being a leader and his development in his propaganda.

The art of leadership. . . consists in consolidating the attention of the people against a single adversary and taking care that nothing will split up that attention” (50 Famous Quotes, 2015). A quote by Adolf Hitler; arguably the evilest man to have ever walked the earth. However, Hitler was also earned another top accolade; that of being one of the greatest leadership stories and successes in known time**. The reader might have a hard time comprehending this statement** and may even feel angry at the writer for daring to suggest it. Unfortunately, leadership is not a characteristic, but instead a collection of characteristics and traits that are not necessarily reserved for the well intentioned; characteristics that can be used to bring the world to its knees. This paper will discuss these characteristics and correlate how they were used by Hitler to bring together a group of people in order to accomplish a common goal, the writer’s definition of leadership, and how these traits are used in other leadership goals.
