I do not believe we were put here with all our differences to conform to a uniform state of mind. Uniforms are telling you that you can not express who you are. They are trapping you and making you look like everyone else. I think that we should not have uniforms because they are ugly, you can not express yourself, and they are inappropriate. Uniforms in schools are always ugly. Uniforms in all schools have the same boring bland look to them. Kids can not express themselves in what they wear. The all have to wear the same thing. Most of them are always tan or navy blue. They are very bland and all the same. School uniforms all have kalki pants and they are not very pretty to look at. Kids like to express themselves and not wear the same thing everyday. People are self conscious about what they wear. Kids do not like to wear short clothes because they think it makes them look fat or something. Athletic kids like to wear shorts and not pants all the time. Most kids do not think uniforms are comfortable and they like sweatpants better. Whether it's leggings, athletic shorts, skirts, sweater, sweatshirts or anything else kids like to express themselves in any way that they can. Kids wear whatever they feel is comfortable. Most kids feel that sweatpants and a sweatshirt is more comfortable than anything else. Other kids like wearing skinny jeans and tight shirts. It is all up to the kids on what they wear. Schools should not be able to tell kids what to wear. If schools had uniforms they would not have dress up days. For example pajama day or little kid day. Those are the kinds of days that make kids enjoy going to school. They have a lot of fun while doing it. Uniforms do not allow kids to express themselves but that can sometimes be a good thing.
