Recommended: Why should students have to wear school uniforms
I have seen here, in the USA few public schools have need of students to wear a uniform. I went to school in Mexico City and I got to wear uniform every day. It is very common there for students to be dress in uniforms. Most of the time, I think kids in this country are very spoiled and very selfish too. For them to wear an uniform to go to school it is very offensive. The reason is they think they can no longer express themselves. I agree that asking students to wear a uniform won’t change their attitude, or how they need to behave in school. I think schools should require for each student to have a uniform. So can everyone be treated as equal and not have differences. I suggest that public schools should command students to wear uniforms.
My first reason, students would focus more in school instead to worry in fashion. For example, in my childhood, I remember when I used to go to kindergarten, and until I finished middle school. I kept in mind the colors of each uniform, I used for each grade. It was fun and challenging wearing a uniform because each color signified a nick name...
Ever wonder what it would look like to have all students wearing the same white polo shirt, black pants, and a district sweater walking in the hallway? Nowadays, public school and many districts are discussing the possibilities of enforcing the uniform policy. In most places, many private schools already require students to have their mandatory uniforms; however, there are only a few public schools adopting this mandatory school-uniform polices as one of their enrollment requirements. The reason why not all public schools participated was because people believe that they are violating the freedom of choice when enforcing this mandatory uniform policy; yet problems such as bullying and segregation, emerged in these schools. Some people still think uniforms have no benefits at all. However, all public school students should be required to wear uniforms because it would improve the academic performance, reduce the violent behaviors based on appearance judgment, and provide less stress for both parents and students.
First of all, wearing uniform helps reducing peer pressure and bullying. Statistics show that every two minutes someone is bullied over what they’re wearing worldwide but in North America they are every four minutes (Should Kids Wear Uniforms to School? Sahibjot – Debates). So what is the difference between Northern America and the worldwide? It is because in lots of countries such as China, Korea, India, and so on, students have to wear uniforms at high school while they do not in the States. In some ways, some people are rich and some are not, so the ways that students wear casual clothes show how they can afford for and it makes them wear
School Uniforms: A Positive or Negative Effect? Today, school uniforms and dress codes are controversial. School uniforms for high school students have numerous positive effects, but at the same time, they have a variety of negative effects too. School uniforms positive effects are shown through attendance records, academics, and behavior; but its negative effects violates ones individuality and increases the amount of money spent on clothes.
Is her midriff showing? Are her shorts to short? Is her bra visible? Do these shoes look right with her outfit? These are all conflicts that could be avoided with school uniforms. School uniforms are special clothes worn by students from a particular school. They typically include bottoms in neutral colors like khaki, black, or even dark green, and tops that are either neutral or in the school colors. Sometimes the uniforms will include a special striped tie in the school colors for both girls and boys. The girls may also have the option to wear pants, skirts, or dresses. Students may or may not be required to wear specific shoes. Historically private schools mainly required uniforms which began in the sixteenth century in England. A statement
In society today, school-age children are under tremendous pressure to fit in with their peers and still perform well academically. I believe that school uniforms in pre-K through high school levels is an excellent way to help children succeed not only in school, but to prepare them for college and the “real world.” Three reasons why I believe school uniforms should be used in all schools is first, they are economic, next, they reduce distractions and finally, they help with social equality.
..., and many kids and parents don't like having uniforms or polos and jeans(except for the jeans, maybe). If i dont feel good i would just like to wear sweats and a baggy shirt with a jacket. but i can't do that anymore. I have to worry if i lose a shirt because i don't have many and the other ones may have stains or are dirty. I don't like having to worry about things because it can be very stressful. School policies on clothing are a nuisance to me. I understand that schools want students to be equal, but thats what makes us special and unique from others. Growing up saying yeah i spent my childhood be equal to other students on the outside. But on the inside we feel trapped. My opinion is that the schools should change their rules to no inappropriate or half tops. Yeah you may have to be specific but the schools are specific anyway about what we have to wear.
Pants below waist, baggy shirts with sexist signs, and piercings, this is not a good view early in the morning. That’s why the school should implement a uniform policy. Uniforms should be mandatory in school. Uniforms make the school appear more professional. Also with uniforms students won’t compare themselves with each other. Moreover uniforms can help students save time. Additionally parents won’t have to waste so much money on clothes hence will have a better budget.
...n our public schools today - they may seem like a good suggestion, but when looked at closer, all uniforms do is disguise the center of attention of the real concern that need to be successfully worked out. If security is a worry, we shouldn't be looking to a uniform to rectify the issue - if the concern is students not concentrating on school work, or getting meager grades, again, uniforms should not be seen as a way out. We have a duty to teach our children as much as we can in safe surroundings, and those are grave concerns that cannot be resolved by putting all children in the same attire. If all the children are wearing the same clothes, you still have a question with security and poor instruction - and now you have a student body that is being taught not to express their individuality. Uniforms in some cases, add to a school's concern, they do not answer them.
What is one thing to change in a schools dress code? How would that change affect everyone around you? I believe one change should be students ability to wear a hat because it gets very cold in the winter, not wearing a hat makes it easier to get sick, a hat would prevent us from getting sick as much. Here are three reasons why schools should change the dress code to allow students to wear hats.
Many schools have started using uniforms as a way to keep their students in line but are these uniforms necessary and helpful? Students should not have to wear uniforms. Because of how much they limit self-expression and can be very expensive, uniforms also separate schools based on income. Uniforms are also unfair to our nation because school should be free. For these reasons, students should not have to wear uniforms.
Why Uniforms Should be Enforced Did you know that school uniforms can reform how students act in school and even the school itself? School uniforms is a controversial topic and can be seen as a battle between self-expression vs. marvelous student behavior and better learning experiences. Although most schools do not require uniforms, they have a strict dress code. Uniforms contribute positively to student behavior and instill discipline, decreases bullying in school, and help with safety on campus.
A uniform is a standard set of clothes that is worn by a group of people. These people may be members of an organization or a group of people having the same ideas. There are thousands of kinds of uniforms in the world worn by people, such as police officers, firefighters, doctors, lawyers, security guards, and even fast-food restaurant workers. School uniforms are a controversial issue in schools today. Many schools have already adopted a policy mandating school uniforms, while many more are still considering the change. School uniforms create an atmosphere of equality in which the students are able to achieve to their best, while attaining the most out of their education. School uniforms should be mandatory to unite the school community as one, to instil discipline among the student body, and to eliminate distractions that will help students focus more, which in turn will help our society.
I don’t think children or teens should have to wear school uniforms. It deprives them of their freedom of speech. They should have the right to wear what they want when they want. The uniforms are degrading and appalling. Everything would be dull and boring if everyone looked the same and wore the same stuff! Whatever happened to our U.S. Constitution? Some kids become stressed out and could get depressed because they cannot choose what they can wear, In Our own country? The land of the free and the home of the brave and we can’t even choose what we wear? The effect would be: students becoming angry and violent, and worst case scenario, suicide.
Should school uniforms be required? Some say that uniforms help students focus on academics instead of fashion. Others believe that students should have the freedom to choose what they wear to school in order to express their differences and their uniqueness. After considering both sides of the issue, I strongly believe that uniforms should be introduced in primary public and private schools. Wearing school uniforms does not promote unfair comparisons between student’s incomes in terms of clothing; they aid students in developing their inner qualities instead of focusing on the outer aspects of themselves in the crucial earlier years of their lives, and provides a platform for practicing discipline.

School uniforms are a specific set or group of school-standard clothing. If we look at America, only private and non-government run schools that institute the wearing of school uniforms. In Hong Kong, most schools require their students to wear school uniforms.
