Most high schools schedules should have study hall to help the students. Study halls will give kids time to study for test, to finish their homework, and give students time to finish group projects. It would also give kids a chance to waste time and play around with their friends. The students will abuse the study hall and use it for chatting with friends and playing around. Some students will only go into study hall and mainly use their time to do it or finish it.
The study hall will give students time to study for test and be ready for it. Some kids will need time to study for test, if they have not studied at home. Some students have lots of work or something else they might have to do. When they are doing the work they sometimes do not have time to study. If a student has an after school job, it might take up most of their time to study. Mainly most students will cram while they are at school, but it is a low chance they will do well. This is not the only reason schools need study halls. This is one of the many reasons schools need study halls.

A study hall will help students finish homework they did not start or finish.
A study hall will help the students do homework they did not finish or start. If the student has been busy with other homework, the study hall will help give the student time to do it. Some students will forget to do his or her homework and need time to finish it. The students will also to get help from other classmates. If some kids need help with their homework, they will have a chance to ask a classmate for help. Finishing homework is not the only thing students can use the study hall
for. The study hall will give the students time to work with groups on projects that are due. When students are in a class where they are doing group work, a study hall would help them. The students will have more time to work on group work and projects. If students have a group project that is due in a few days, they will have plenty of time to finish while in study hall. Even when there is a science fair, the students will have time to work on their projects and have help to finish them. The study hall will let the students ask their teacher to go to the library or the computer lab to help with their work and projects. This is only the second reason schools need a study hall on their schedules. A study hall will be useful for kids who have work during class but do not finish it. Some student will want to finish classwork because they want to hurry and finish it. The students will use the study hall to work with other kids in his or her class and try to finish it. The students will need all the time they can get to do their work. When some teachers have to move on to the next thing and cannot help the students with their work, they can use the study hall to ask other students about the work. These are some reason why schools need a study hall and why it would help the school. There are more good advantages to a study hall than bad reasons.
School is a perfect example of structure. Almost every school consist of the same thing which is desks and a board to demonstrate the lesson. All the desk are facing one way so that the children have a more likely chance to pay attention to the instructor and Proper room arrangement provides predictability in students, which has a calming effect I presume. When students are better able to understand their environment and anticipate what is coming next, they tend to be less apprehensive. Their mental states are more conducive to learning new material and also a decrease in misconduct
Extended class periods and block scheduling will improve student’s grades and can diminish their stress level significantly. A normal day in block scheduling consists of only four classes a day, alternating each day. These classes would last 120 minutes each, with the same 5 minute passing periods in between classes. This scheduling gives teachers more time to explain their lesson. It also gives students time to recover from the late nights due to sports and other activities because they only have four classes a day. Their homework for these classes isn’t due for another day, so they don’t have to stress over getting it done. 120 minute classes combined with blocked scheduling increases the amount of time teachers have for instruction and will overall increase the student’s knowledge, in turn, raising their grades.
If middle schoolers had a study hall, they would be able to get different assignments done. Students could work on homework and get most of it completed during the study hall period. This would be beneficial to their grades and time management skills. With a study hall, capitalcityweekly.com says that it would help students know how much time they have to do homework, and be able to use that time wisely. A study hall would also give students a chance to catch up on late or missing assignments, and with that they would be able to improve their grades and not get so far behind in their studies.
First of all there a lot of supporters agree on the same thing like susan myer.According to Susan Meyer “she is a pediatrician for children”Middle School also needs time for relaxation and play. The Point it is sometimes good
“Mark, you won’t get anywhere without studying”, His mother use to tell him when he use to waist all his time playing rather that studying. Mark wasn’t such a good student because he wouldn’t spend any time studying, until one day his parents decided to send him to Cushing Academy, a boarding school in the USA, which they knew it was going to improve his study habits and help him being more responsible. But what really amazed his parents was this period of time used to study called “Study Hall”. Because of its amazing results, preparation for college, and providing responsibility, Study Hall remains as one of the vital qualities Cushing Academy possess and give students an opportunity to lead in higher education.
Students may need to nap to compensate for energy expended throughout the day. However, if schools were to start later, adolescents would not have to nap, allowing for a larger window of time to spend with their families after school, even with a later start time. Another opposing argument is that students would have less time to participate in extracurricular activities. However, this issue can be resolved by making practices for sports and club meetings shorter and more frequent to accommodate the schedule variation. Overall, the benefits of later start times far outweigh the drawbacks.
Sleep: it helps to keep our learning to be consolidate. Students need to have a good night sleep when they have school next day. Also, the next day of school, the student will have more energy and patience to study, to think and to take notes. The attention of the student in class will be strong that will help to restore basics information in his
First, homework clubs can give students opportunities for more practice with a teacher on certain content or to use other resources they may not have at home. Students can have valuable one-on-one time between them and the teacher at homework club. This is great for students who need to catch up on work they missed or go over concepts that they did not understand. They also might stay after to prepare for an upcoming test or to retake a test they underperformed in. In my life, I often stay after with Ms. Marcey, my math teacher, to do homework or review for upcoming tests. While meeting with teachers is important, homework clubs can also give students and their families a big financial relief. There
School is useless! Why do we have to stay in crowded room with weird people, being taught weird stuff? Well students don 't really realized it but there 's a reason for learning these so called useless stuff. From elementary and through a student’s academic career, students would have to sit through hours and hours of lectures and session trying to get the years over with. All students has the ambitions to do well and get job and be prosperous. However most of the time that wouldn 't happen because students would be half hearted into the their work and they would not believe the fact that the subjects like math, reading, science and ect. would come back to bite them at their rear. shockingly enough, a lot of the things accomplished by man is
Also, schools could require a minimum amount of studying per week for each student (Implementation 8). As of now, the only schools that require a certain amount of study time are private schools. In each class, there is scheduled time each day/week set aside for studying. Basically, it is a study hall. A lot of schools have study halls already set in place, but, for example, Aransas Pass High School is one of the many schools across the nation which do not enforce studying during that time (Crenshaw).
Many teachers believe classrooms are too small. Many teachers and students believe classrooms are not big enough. If students are working on a group activity that takes up a lot of space will have to do activity in the hallway. If students are watching a film for class will have to move or adjust because most likely students in the back of the classroom cannot see. Teachers may not have enough desks some students may end up sitting in a part of the room where it could be the size of a coat closet.
Well most students have something planned after school, so if that is something you say then to come in before school. Well most students can come in before school because they cant find a way up to the high school or they want to sleep. A simple solution is to let students come in at lunch. It is a lot easier than being at the school before or after school because during lunch they have free time to come in and it wont affect their after school activities and they are already at school so it wont hurt them to come in. If students come in for lunch then kids could get help when they are at their best in the day, but if students got to come in a lunch then you can tell by their test scores a their GPA's that they have improved as a student and they can become a better student, and become a better person in
The transition from high school to university can be challenging for many students. Students quickly notice differences between the academic expectations of high school compared to those of universities. High school is heavily structured, students’ attendance and participation are regularly monitored, and teachers are in daily contact with them and provide regular feedback. On the contrary, university students are responsible for organising their course schedules. They are not mandated to attend lectures regularly and professors do not monitor their attendance in the majority of the courses. Additionally, assignments and tests are the only source of feedback. Students experience a higher level of discretion and freedom in universities. However, the freedom given to students can have negative impacts on their academic success. Many students attend the lectures sporadically and some do not attend them at all and merely do the assigned work. Moreover, students who attend lectures regularly and come to lectures prepared are more likely to succeed and do well in the course than students who do not. The lectures provide the opportunity to further explore and discuss ideas as well as ask questions and clear up any ambiguities about that specific idea. Therefore, universities should promote regular attendance by making students realize their financial, academic and social responsibilities as university students.
...cation and still fulfill family and job obligations. Class room and homework assignments can be accomplished when it's convenient for the student, whether at work or in the comfort of the home. Students and teachers can interact by way of email and real time chat to discuss assignments and relay information.
They can be allowed to be used by the communities when school closes or is on holidays. Egbezor (2005) noted that the classrooms are used for adult literacy activities nationwide, for public health activities like immunizations, public enlightenment exercises, in emergency epidemic situations and school building are converted into make shift hospitals. School buildings are also put into use during voting exercises. This will help establish good relationship with the community. School library can equip a room with books that parents can come to read and borrow. The books to be provided should be of interest to the parents such as books on child psychology, married life, current affairs and health care. Community organizations can be allowed to use school hall for social events, meetings, games and festivals. This will make community organizations be concerned with whatever would be happening to the school. School can establish business centres and/or restaurants around the school gate. This will be intended to serve both the school and the neighbouring community. This will always bring the school closer to the community members and they will be most concerned with anything that will affect the
