School Dress Code
Should dress code rules exist? If you would ask most of the students today if school dress codes should exist then they would say no because they would have to buy more clothes and spend more money just to fit the rules that the school has came up with. Some others would say that school dress codes should exist because of bullies making fun of other students because of what they are wearing. This paper will argue why school dress should not exist and hopefully buy the end of this paper you will agree also. Students and parents will end up spending more money on clothes they can wear in school rather than clothes they rather wear outside of school. “I buy my son school clothes and he only wears them at school. This is not fair to the individuals or their parents. Most will agree that there should be just a general rule of the clothes you wear should be appropriate. “The skirts should be at knee length and for shorts also, no gang related clothing or anything that will deal with drugs or offensive clothing.” Said a student from Belleville West High School Dress codes themself are no question about it sexist. The majority of the rules are directed towards women. There is no reason why girls should not be able to wear tank tops when it is 90 degrees outside! Yes it's showing more skin than normal but having to wear a cotton polo in that heat is monstrous. I totally agree with this and they schools should be way more lenient on what they address. I would save so much more time in the mornings because i wouldn't have to search for my dress code clothes. I could just throw on something that i have near me and i would be on my way to school and on time. The time it takes me to try and figure out what to wear to school with the dress codes takes longer than it should. I try to switch it up the limited clothes that i already have but nothing i do
