Have you ever considered why students should wear a school uniform? For a long time, scholars have debated worldwide, whether students should wear a school uniform or not. After a lot of research, I can evidently see that people still have diverse opinions about this subject as some people think school uniform is essential, some are just fine with its existence, and some think it is useless.

Bullies frequently choose to pick on an individual based on what they wear, and as many students already have a tough time at school, they don’t need bullies to make it even worse. Imagine what would happen if they were all dressed alike? In my opinion, the use of school uniform would provide a more bully-free environment causing them to have one less reason to get picked on.
In addition, another reason why the use of uniform is favorable is that they decrease the number of incidents of students being attacked for items of clothing such as shoes and sweaters. Besides that, students wearing expensive or fashionable clothes are exposed victims of theft because of envies. Thus, it may also help reduce the amount of theft that may occur. However, I believe that school is a place to learn and that students can wear their own clothes and parade their style after school. How can people assume that personality is all about fashion? An individual’s personality is not entirely expressed by fashion itself. Personality is assuredly determined by the way a person thinks, speaks and moves. Teenagers must understand that wearing a school uniform neither defines their personality nor erases it. It brings equality between everyone. Unfortunately, kids have forgotten about the real reason for going to school and focus on outward show and popularity. They suppose schools have become more about fashion and social interactions and not about focusing on their learning.
