High level jobs in the united states for the most part are filled by men, however the question we’re asking is should the same jobs be reserved for women also. Sexism is in the past women are just as capable as men in the job world. Female workers are said to not have the desire or drive to want to be on top. Women in the workforce has always been a controversial issue, but times have changed, they should be able to hold the same positions as men.
Although some peoples view on the issue is that women should not have the same rights as men or be able to have the same positions as men, even if the woman was a better fit for the job. Sexism is a big deal on both male and female sides. Women, however mostly get the brunt of it, female workers are often not promoted because of sexism. In the past women were expected to stay home while the man of the household went and worked. Prior to, today sexism has been shown by discriminating in activities believed to be only for men. This idea that men are better isn’t always correct women are just
as good. With this have happened, it created a pattern that still exists today it is wrong.
Some people believe that women don't have the desire or drive to succeed or they want to have a high level job. That being said women do have the drive to make it in the business world, history reflects that since the nineteen seventies women workers have made significant improvements in the workforce, by being in high paying jobs and jobs of high influence. Jobs nowadays are given by qualifications, women and men are on a level playing field when it comes to learning the job itself. Men are sometimes picked over women because it is believed that a woman employer or leader makes the whole structure look weak. Already stated women of course can hold a strong position just like a man
