The purpose of my daily and weekly schedules will be to organize the day, establish structure, daily routines, daily rituals and proper transitioning periods within my class. Weekly schedules that are carefully taught, modeled, and established in the classroom, will let children know what’s expected of them and how to do certain things on their own. Children will feel more secure and relaxed, when they know what to do and what happens next. Daily schedules and are important in the lives of children because they provide children with a sense of safety and stability. Having a consistent daily schedule will make the classroom go a lot smoother and will be less stressful and better to manage. With a predictable schedule the students will know what to expect during the school day and will not repeatedly ask you what to do next.
From the start to the end of each day, children benefit from flexible routines. As the children begin arriving in the classroom in the morning, they need to know exactly what to do in the classroom by establishing routines, they can move smoothly transition through morning routines. These routines will provide children with a sense of security and knowledge of what

I will have classroom cleanup time at the end of the week everyone will help out including myself we will organize materials, straighten out cubbies or desks, and clear out unnecessary clutter. This will provide a clean slate to start the next week and a feeling of stability and control. I will also have family nights once a month in which parents and other household members can come to school with their child to a read a book, fun science activities, learning about other cultures and a fun activity will be planned. This will help the students’ parents and myself connect with home and school
I help to select new items for the classroom and muscle room and rearrange the setup. On Fridays the morning and afternoon teachers along with all the student teachers meet to discuss what has been going on in the classroom and what is working out well and what needs to be changed. For example we recently change the setup of our lunch table from 2 long tables to 3 separate tables to facilitate better conversations during meals. We also have introduced dinosaur books, puzzles, block mates and toys after we noticed a class wide interest in them. My teacher has also given me the tools to assist children in conflict resolution when disagreements
I will incorporate as many hands on activities I can possibly imagine, to better the minds of my young students. I would adore knowing that all my students look forward to coming to school because they enjoy my classes, and want to learn what I have to teach. My ambition is to put my best foot forward; to find more hands on learning activities, and make school and learning a better and more enjoyable place.
As you have read in my previous essay my goal is to improve my day to day routine doing so I will need to change my routine to follow my strict yet flexible schedule. In order to accomplish this goal I would plan my days out accordingly to my school schedule where school related task are prioritized. My schedule would go as follows, On

Always need time to communicate with the parents either formal or informal so we can build trust and be cultural sensitive. We can also provide parents with support and education with whatever the child’s needs might be. For the children we help them understand the language and reasoning skills. Math and numbers can be taught is so many ways through play that the children won’t get stressed. Nature and science when we provide them with things that are naturally in their surroundings they get a chance to investigate. Promote acceptance of diversity and do things to help all the children learn something new and interact with different activities when sharing their

My teaching career has been spent learning how to provide appropriate support, guidance, patience, & understanding, as well as to enhance academic growth & success, for all students. My purpose as a teacher is to enrich and inspire the lives of young students with moderate/intensive needs by providing access to information instead of functioning as the primary source of information for students to flourish. My teaching methods will be to create an environment ripe with opportunities for discovery and exploration which will allow all students to learn at their own pace, generate questions and construct knowledge, while providing hands-on practice of skills in authentic situations as well as to make learning intriguing and meaningful to all students. Carefully planned and constructed learning environment will also allow the teacher more time to meet the individual needs of each student. Another important factor to a well-prepared learning environment is to facilitate learning, and providing students with balance and consistency (2004). Young students require a balance between various classroom dimensions, including activities guided by the teacher and independent work, quiet work and active work, gross motor and fine motor activities, and open and closed aspects to the curriculum and classroom materials (2004). Consistency is also a required condition for learner success. Schedules (daily and weekly), the enforcement of classroom rules, and student expectations should not be in flux but remain consistent. Without a sense of consistency in the classroom, school life would lack the necessary feeling of safety and reliability young children need to focus, to take risks, and to t...
June 23, 2016 my plane touched down in the tropical oasis of Cancun, Mexico. We are here to spend a week in paradise celebrating multiple mile stones in my family. The moment our plane landed I could not wait to spend some time in this amazing destination. The ride to our resort was breath taking and seeing the authentic shops lined up and down the streets put a smile on my face. However, there was something stuck in the back of my mind.
This will give them a conducive environment for preparing them for the learning process. The development of routines is important in addressing the class management issues and this is integral in the planning process. For the routines, the attendance of students is important and the teachers should provide students with information on the daily attendance record and reward them at the end of the week. The cleaning of classrooms
Every teacher must have a set of classroom routines and procedures to maintain order in the classroom. When entering the classroom, students will enter in a quiet manner. They will sit at their assigned desk and have all material ready to begin on required work. Once the bell rings and the door is closed, students will be seated and working. Tardiness is unacceptable and if the student receives more than three unexcused tardies per nine weeks, a referral will be given to the office and a phone call will be made the parent or guardian. Also, students should not be more than three minutes late to class. This will result in an automatic referral to the office.
... lunch room, distributing materials, carrying messages to office etc. These tasks can be assigned to different students every week. Effective teachers make sure that every student has a job so that they feel responsible. These activities can also be used to reward improved behavior (Evertson, Emmer, and Worsham, 2006). Jones describes routines as operational rules. Jones says, “Operational rules must be specified to provide for smooth operations, which include materials to use, when to sharpen pencils, get a drink, go to the bathroom, how to get help and how the class is dismissed” (Allen, 1998). An effective way of establishing routines would be considering each and every minute detail of classroom activities. Children should know the importance of rules and routines in the classroom and it is a teacher’s responsibility to teach them (Canter &Canter, 1992).
As well as, to ensure that it 's in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. In order for educators to be able to ensure that their students fulfill their academic potential, they are first required to prepare lesson plans, activities, mange the classroom , assign work , and grade all assignments done by students in a timely matter. All of these things have to be taken care of on a daily basis. In order to accomodate the demands, they must be willing to work outside of the classroom. This requires working after hours, which is not calculated into the their
Students need feedback, clear expectations, and a schedule to follow throughout the day so that teachers spend less time directing behavior and more time is spent actively engaged in learning. There should be more time consumed on strengthening positive behavior and fewer on the negative.
My classroom management starts with a well-organized, clearly labeled classroom layout so that my students can easily access the resources they need for my class. I display visual aids and reminders around the room to support the students and I display their work in specific places around the room to give them a sense of belonging. I create routines and procedures to support the students and enable them to form smooth transitions between activities. There is a certain way they enter and leave the classroom, distribute books and papers, and move their desks and chairs. In my classroom these mundane tasks are completed quickly, competitively, and with enthusiasm. Having routines in place helps students understand exactly what is expected of them and gives them confidence in their actions.
