As an automotive technician you are responsible for repair, inspect, and maintain both commercial and privately-owned vehicles. Technicians are supposed to build a relationship with their customers for better return rate and that will make the customer feel more comfortable with you working on their car, also they will be a happy customer. Most important responsibilities are: running diagnostics and testing parts, completing preventative maintenance, provide advice, follow state laws, using personal knowledge to disassemble and reassemble parts, maintain a steady supply of necessary parts, using customer satisfaction skills, working well with others, being familiar with all tools you'll need to complete the task you are given to do. Being a sales person takes patience, good manners, listening skills, and great attitude. Those are an a important key to being an great sales person. The role of a salesperson is to sale the customer the product that they are wanting, not something they don’t. Also part of their role is work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. They should not be confused with sales representatives, who are people that represent and sell wholesale and manufacturing products. Salesperson are very different than sales representatives. They have different plans in their head for what they will say to the customer. A sales representative will push the customer into buying a product that they do not like or even do not want. The required education to become a salesperson is A formal education is not always required to obtain a job in retail sales, but however at a dealership for cars, they do want you to have graduated high school, but a managerial position needs bachelor's degree for the job. It does not take a lot of education to become a salesperson. Which is not bad for a good job. The skills required for a salesperson is; to be a good listener, good speaking/communication, familiar with the products they are selling, and a great amount of willingness to want to help others. The annual wage for a salesperson at a car dealership is $37,440 per year. Which for a job that requires only high school diploma is a decent amount for a job. For a person to get right out of high school then get a job paying like this. Also they would not have to go to college, why wouldn’t they do this more often. But on the other hand a sales person works a lot more than other jobs. They work six days a week, every week. They only get one day off to do their own stuff and be with family.
