Love has many paths, not just happiness; some paths lead to problems, others to toxic relationships. But, in extreme cases, it can lead to death. The play “The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet” is about how a boy and a girl fell in love, but they were from rival families. That was when they decided to get married behind their parents’ backs. But, what they didn’t know was that they would pay a high price for their decision. The question we are answering is, who’s to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death? The Nurse, Fate, and Romeo are all to blame for Romeo & Juliet’s death because the Nurse helped Romeo and Juliet to get married, Fate made the letter arrive late and made Romeo & Juliet from rival families, and Romeo should have never been at that party and lastly, if Romeo …show more content…

In the first scene, the Nurse talks to Juliet about when and where Romeo wants to marry her. According to Document F, in Act 2 scene v on lines 73-74, the Nurse says, “Then hire you hence to Friar Lawrence cell./ There stays a husband to make you a wife.” This means that Juliet has to go to Friar Lawrence's cell where she will marry Romeo and the Nurse is helping them. Saying “Then hie you hence to Friar Lawrence cell” suggests that Romeo is providing a place where they’ll get married and knowing Juliet is a rival the Nurse is not intervening or stopping this communication.. Therefore, the Nurse was the one passing the information from one to the other and if they didn’t marry they were not meant to be together. In the second scene, the Nurse tells Juliet that Romeo is from the opposite family. According to Document F, in Act 2 Scene v on lines 133-136, the Nurse says, “His name is Romeo, and a Montague, The only son of your great enemy.” This means that the Nurse knew who Romeo was but didn't stop Juliet from marrying
