Our family will have another road trip this weekend and I would like to ask if you are available to join this road trip with us again. I am writing this letter seeking for your assistance to take care of Julie. Similar to the last trip, I will have to babysit both Julie and mischievous Johnny again for this upcoming trip which I don’t mind at all but sometimes I can’t take care of both of them at the same time. As you can see from the previous trip, Johnny has temper tantrums especially when he is sleepy, or not able to get the toys he wanted. I remember when he held like ten car toys in his tiny arms at the local souvenirs store and strongly refused to put it back. All my breath used to trick him was wasted because cars are his favorite toys.
Mr. Potato Head was chosen as he can be used as a visual, age appropriate, educationally toy and can provide extra processing time for Timmy as he manipulates it. When items are passed between the IT and himself he will be reminded that communication includes others. He loves watching Toy Story movies and often plays with the toy characters from the movie such as Woodie and Mr. Potato Head. Since Timmy’s dad is a police officer, we decided to use a police Mr. Potato Head to motivate and maintain Tim’s interest. As well I have chosen this specific activity so that Timmy can see ‘communication in action’ and when Tim plays with Mr. Potato Head on his own, he may remember the lesson words/actions and repeat them in his own play, generalizing

Life on the road is meant for the strong at heart and the mindful skills of a person who knows what they’re doing. To live the life on the road you need a set skill and mind to handle the rough odds ahead of yourself. It is not for the weak and the non experience because they will get brutally hurt or even worse killed in the process. Challenges such as food, knowing where to find clean water, heat for the cold nights, shelter, and most important how to hunt and pick berries. Without these essential set skills a person will not make it on their own on the road by themselves. Some of us are born into a society of helpful hands and assistance with daily life functions, but in this case you will be alone with no helping hand or handouts. Life on the road is meant for the strong and is not for everyone.
“Where u goin n need a ride?”, Pablo, a forty five year old, male, uber driver, messages me. “Sure, meet me at the corner of detroit and wagar, please”. I could immediately tell which car was his, as I could hear his fast-beat latino music blasting down the road. As I begin to open the door, it hits me. The cancer causing, teeth staining, lung tarring, disgusting smell of Pablo’s lit cigarette sitting in the ash tray. Struggling to breathe, I politely tell him my destination to my friend Derek’s house, buckle my seatbelt, notice his unstrapped, and begin my adventure (I say adventure intending to use the true meaning of the word, an unusual, typically hazardous experience). While Pablo swerves down the road with his Latino music still blearing
The main intention of the Freedom Ride of 1965 was to raise awareness of discrimination against Aboriginal people and to try and generate a movement for change in Australia. The Freedom Ride is significant to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people because the key aims were to improve the level of health, education and living standards of Aboriginal people, including the desegregation of public facilities in regional towns such as Walgett and Moree. The Freedom Ride adopted the non-violent, direct philosophy of Martin Luther King Jr’s US Civil Rights movement. Whilst change did not come immediately, the Freedom Ride contributed to other events which made significant changes to Aboriginal people, such as the 1967 Referendum which acknowledged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s right to be included in the census and to be considered citizens in their own country.
Can you imagine hiking 2,000 miles only stopping to sleep, eat, and drink? So many people do this every year. They hike the Appalachian Trail. The Appalachian Trail is a 2,181 miles backpacking tail from Georgia to Maine that is being broken down because of overuse, a problem that is motivating organizations to step in and improve the conditions of the trail. As a result of the huge popularity, the trail is deteriorating and dying. Because of the increase in temperature in the atmosphere parts of the trail will never be hiked again. People need to know how important the trail they are hiking is and what needs to be done to save it. The landscape needs to be protected and the land needs to be
What do we do on Outward Bound? Outward Bound an experience unlike any other, can last for many, many days. We are out in the wilderness with no electronics for at least a whole week. We go hiking and make our own food during this trip. This trip can be a chance to get away from all regular day distractions.Kurt Hahn , a German educator, founded Outward Bound. He created Outward Bound because he saw that the younger people died when the ships get torpedoed or bombed. He recognized this and created Outward Bound. He wanted to give the youth the knowledge to survive when things go wrong. This experience helped many of the younger men because now they learned all of the things they need to survive. In Outward Bound people need to follow four
In the episode “Road Trip” from “Falling in Love... with Chris and Greg,” Chris Vargas, a trans man, is more suited to forming queer critiques on various subjects and not conforming to social norms while Greg Youmans, a cis man, has many desires that fit homo- and heteronormative standards. Furthermore, the relationship between Vargas and Youmans is tenuous at best and appears liable to fall apart at any moment due to Youman’s ignorance and transphobia and the fact that it is not Vargas’s responsibility to constantly educate him.
The Freedom rides were the events that were inspired by the American freedom rides to give equal rights to black people as what the white people have. Back before 1967 in Australia many of the aborigines were treated very poorly and many people have been discriminative and racially insulting and abusing them for a long time. The people who stood to take action for better rights had been non liked at all and usually were insulted by many people and then they would take their reactions and make aggression out of it. The white people all tried covering up the situation but that was not what the student action for aboriginals wanted, they wanted everyone one to know the truth and they did not like that at all and that is when people reacted. The freedom riders had many emotions over the course of the trip, they were furious, upset, angry and scared but they never gave up throughout the trip. But then the event was broadcasted on the news then people really knew what was going on and were upset that the aborigines were actually being treated this way. Many people reacted differently to the rides but at the end of the day the freedom riders eventually got what they want to achieve, equal rights.
During a three week period, from September 1st to September 21st, I will be adventuring and exploring the culture and lifestyles of three different countries in Asia. I will have $6000 to spend on flights, food, and activities that I have received from Uncle Bart. The three countries I will be visiting are the Philippines, China, and Japan. I have chosen these countries to visit because of their different ways of living and to explore where my ancestors once lived. Some places i am excited to visit are Tokyo and Beijing because they are supposedly ahead of their time; in some places. I am also excited to eat some new foods that i have never tried before such as balut and little insects that you can buy on the streets in some cities.
When the door shut quietly, it slowly woke me up and then I remembered. Today was the day of the launch. The 3 day journey was going to commence shortly. I had to get ready, I slipped into my normal clothes, prepared to not wear them for 3 days, and grabbed my car keys. I locked the door to my apartment, and jogged over to my Ford Escape. I got in and went to NASA and showed security my pass. They let me in, I parked my car, and went in the administration office I signed in, and went to meet Harry in room E-31. When I arrived there Harry was already there. He gave me my under layer and my suit. The suit was polished had the U.S Flag, and my last name. I slipped myself into the suit and headed to the launch deck. A Paramedic checked that I
Going on a road trip with my family means the world to me. We drove to another state during summer vacation, and it was by far the best road trip I have ever been on. My family and I were able to go to many fun places. We ate so many exotic and delicious foods as well. Yet most importantly, I spent time with my family and their friends. It was the day when my family and I went to California for our summer vacation.
The world is a magnificent place that’s full of life and new places. Places that are waiting to be walked upon and viewed by the eye’s of travelers. To make new memories and go places that is beyond the walls of reality and new pathways of life. To truly experience the wonders that the world has to offer can be expressed by the life of one single person, setting off into the world to gain a higher purpose about the world. Traveling individually enables people to broaden their minds and accumulate new ideas and new experiences both nationally and internationally. By setting off into the world a person has the ability to learn so many new things, but also find so much about themselves while in the process of traveling.
There is nothing quite like traveling, going someplace new and finding out more about the world and yourself. Anyone can become a traveler it just takes a little bit of faith and courage. Traveling across the world or even across the country is a learning experience. When you are a traveler you see how people live and how different cultures work. It is the best educational experience you could give yourself. You see how the world works in a way no one can teach you. Seeing different cultures and people help build the person you want to be. If you are a traveler the world influences you, because when traveling, you see the good and the bad, and you learn from the right and the wrong. I am very lucky that I am able to be a traveler and see this
