Respect
Respect is, or should be a very important thing in society today. In my opinion we can get better at being respectful. Some ways we can improve in being more respectful is by respecting our elders and helping them out if they need help with anything. Also we can respect our teachers by paying attention in the classroom and not messing around. We also can respect people at events by not disrupting or interfering with the event. One of the most important things that we should respect is the government, and we can do that by not booing the president when he walks up on to the stage. We have to pay attention to the people when they are talking. Doing good things for people when they need help, or even do not need help, is very respectful.

To do that we can recycle or not litter. You can also pick up litter if you find it on the street somewhere. Another way of showing respect is by respecting animals. Some ways you can do that is by helping animals that are injured. Also you can not hurt animals like some people do. You can respect other people's religions by not making fun of whatever they believe in. People are allowed to believe whatever they want to believe here in America so there are many different religions so there is no need to make fun of them. You should treat other people the way you want to be treated so do not make fun of people and respect what they believe in. Most people do not want to be treated poorly so you should not treat them poorly. I think that we can do these thing to respect pretty much everything
Respect is a such a simple concept and a virtue that should be simple to follow. It means treating other people and animals in a dignified manner. Respect doesn’t mean that people need to hug everyone they come across or hold their opinion higher than everyone elses. Respect means treating others as equals and acknowledging that as human
Proper respect for others begins by a person respecting their self. Respect is developed by expressing honor, leadership, value, and trust in a person. If everyone respects everyone someday, the world will become a seventh heaven. It is important to be respectful for safety, to abide by the law, because children are influenced by their elders’ actions, and because God says so. Motivation from peers can help a person realize there is always room to improve the level of respect a person exhibits. Respect was, is, and always will be a positive attribute for everyone to strive for in their lives.
Respect to me is admiring someone for their abilities, qualities, or achievements. I think respect is always earned an can never be given. As soldiers soldiers we should always respect our peers because they have made the same sacrifice as us. But as soldiers we should have a higher level of respect for our NCOs because they have done their time an have earned it. Being respectful is not hard it is simple, just treat others the way we would like to be treated ourselves.
Self-respect is probably the most important value for a person. It is said that in order to earn the respect of others, a person needs to learn to treat oneself with respect. I think that self-respect has a lot to do with one’s self-esteem. Self-esteem is an opinion of one’s own worth. For example, a girl that sleeps around will probably earn the reputation of a slut or a tramp. In reality, she is coping with the stresses of a low self-esteem.
Respect is something given without expecting anything in return. Growing up, I learned that even the little things can change someone's day. Offering your chair to an elderly person, a kind deed to someone in need, or a word of encouragement to someone having a bad day. My 90 year old great grandma has lived in my home for 11 years. Through the recent years, I call her every day on my way home asking if she is in need of anything. I have become one of her caregivers repaying her for all the years of encouragement and love.
Respect is a very powerful word it can be given and also taken. So many people really don’t know the definition because they don’t have any for their self. Maybe because they were never taught the word or the meaning. There are rules and meanings to the word Respect.
Growing up in a heavily influenced Mexican household, I was raised differently than most of the children in the neighborhood. All my life I saw the prosaic behavior of my father. The kind of Mexican machismo behavior that rose out of a man who spent his life chasing his own impromptu desires. His mindset exemplified the belief that men were supposed to provide for every physical mean, and the lady of the house should not work, but stay at home and perform her motherly duties. I don't blame the senile man, because that was the way he was raised and it became his way of life. My mother allowed this behavior because she was raised under the same principle and was never able to leave that antediluvian mindset. As I got older, I began to realize that in contrast to my father and mother, who are close-minded individuals, I am open-minded. A characteristic forged from my parents mistakes, and one that would help me survive the modern world.
HONOR CAN BE DEFINED IN SO MANY WAYS CAN mean respect and esteem shown to another. HONOR may ALSO apply to the recognition of one's right to great respect or to any expression of such recognition IN SOME SITUATIONS IT implies profound respect mingled with love, devotion. There is a priceless respect that everyone in the world possesses, and that is the. respect of a person?s honor. A person?s honor is something that can not be bought, sold,. or traded it?s something that must be gained by the respect of your peers. An example of. how honor is seen in everyday life in through a persons word. The standard dictionary definition of honor first lists public regard and esteem under the word, with ethical conduct or high standards of justice and responsibility appearing much further down the list. This is reflected in the way the modern world treats the issue of honor. In ancient times, honor was the manner of being that we now describe as having integrity. In plain language, an honorable person avoids deception whenever possible, treats others with respect and sticks to her beliefs no matter how others think or act. People generally do not seem to behave very well toward each other any more.Honor determines the hierarchy of an individual while revealing his loyalty and true intentions. Reward comes for those at the top whose honor does not diminish, while a false or fleeting honor of a lesser mortal causes destruction. Exploring and discussing how to act honorably toward each other is a place to start. The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be. How can you be a person of integrity? First, figure out what integrity (honor) is. My mother used to say to treat others the way you wanted to be treated. Does anyone do that these days? Well, I know that I don't want to be cut off in traffic, or yelled at, or bumped into rudely at the grocery store, or left picking up garbage all over my yard from the street. So I could try not to do those things to other people. I won't cut off others in traffic, or yell, or act rude at the grocery store, or throw garbage in the street. That's just a place to start. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Respect is a behavior that shows another person moral and ethical acceptance. Respect is when you admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements. The word respect was used in the 1540’s, from middle French word respecter “look back at, regard, consider” and also directly from Latin word respectere (Douglas). The Latin version of respect (respectere) was literally an act of looking back or often at, and observing someone (Douglas). In the 1550’s the meaning changed to treating people with obedient regard or appreciation. To this day the meaning has not changed.
Viewing Respect From My Eyes Respect is something that is very significant and can be super influential in a person's life. Having respect towards your friends or family should be a top priority for everyone. Showing it in front of your peers can give you a good reputation . When I see people being disrespectful always makes me confused because everyone deserves to be happy and when you show respect and kindness just that little bit can do so much to a person. I know that I like it when people are respectful to me.
The second form of respect is the respect of property. This includes anything from writing on a desk at school to stealing from a department store. Property, whether it is the school's, a company's, a stranger's, or a friends, should always be respected. Respect means taking that extra few seconds to drive the speed limit so as not to hit anyone or anything. It means not smashing a pumpkin at Halloween just for fun. It means not throwing that piece of trash on the ground. That is respect.
Have you ever walked down the street and saw someone give a homeless man food, money or clothes? that is respect. Respect to me is treating people like you want to be treated, also respect is showing someone one that you care about them. People in this generation don’t show as much respect as they should and as they use to. I admit I probably don’t respect people as much as I should but I try.
