Viewing Respect From My Eyes
Respect is something that is very significant and can be super influential in a person's life. Having respect towards your friends or family should be a top priority for everyone. Showing it in front of your peers can give you a good reputation . When I see people being disrespectful always makes me confused because everyone deserves to be happy and when you show respect and kindness just that little bit can do so much to a person. I know that I like it when people are respectful to me. Just having that good respect to everyone can make a big impact. When you meet new people it is very smart to show them the respect they should get because being disrespectful really gets you nowhere. I believe that everyone

If someone asks you to give them space, it is a good idea to deal with what they said and respect that they are feeling down and need some time to heal. Also, if someone tells you something personal you should be able to keep that secret to yourself because you want to respect that person. I guess it is understandable if you have to tell the person if it could potentially be life threatening or dangerous in a way. You should always make sure you are showing respect to your family. They do a whole lot of stuff for you, so give them the respect they deserve. You can show that respect by saying thank you for the food that you got to eat for dinner. You also can show it by taking in the grocery’s after your mom or dad gets back from the store. You can even show that respect by simply do chores. That can really help out your parents if they have lots to do around the house or even at work. Or when your at the movies and you decide to buy some popcorn and a box of candy. It is important to be mindful of others and not make a mess of the snacks or not throw popcorn across the theater. At the movies you should silence your phone to so that it is not disturbing others around you. That is what I think respect is and that respect is an important thing.
Respect is a such a simple concept and a virtue that should be simple to follow. It means treating other people and animals in a dignified manner. Respect doesn’t mean that people need to hug everyone they come across or hold their opinion higher than everyone elses. Respect means treating others as equals and acknowledging that as human
The Core Dimensions of Helping was originally a theory developed by Carl Rogers, a researcher of psychotherapy process and outcome. Later, researcher
Proper respect for others begins by a person respecting their self. Respect is developed by expressing honor, leadership, value, and trust in a person. If everyone respects everyone someday, the world will become a seventh heaven. It is important to be respectful for safety, to abide by the law, because children are influenced by their elders’ actions, and because God says so. Motivation from peers can help a person realize there is always room to improve the level of respect a person exhibits. Respect was, is, and always will be a positive attribute for everyone to strive for in their lives.
Respect to me is admiring someone for their abilities, qualities, or achievements. I think respect is always earned an can never be given. As soldiers soldiers we should always respect our peers because they have made the same sacrifice as us. But as soldiers we should have a higher level of respect for our NCOs because they have done their time an have earned it. Being respectful is not hard it is simple, just treat others the way we would like to be treated ourselves.
In three seperate dictionaries, respect is defined as a regard for or appreciation of the worth or value of someone or something. In my opinion, respect goes far beyond this definition. Respect is the cornerstone of the society in which we live. Although many look at respect as simply treating another person or thing with kindness, this word has many different aspects. For instance, I would not give an elder the same type of respect that I would give my peers or myself. Respect is not considered a neccessity in this world but, I can’t imagine a person getting very far in life without this virtue.
Respect is something given without expecting anything in return. Growing up, I learned that even the little things can change someone's day. Offering your chair to an elderly person, a kind deed to someone in need, or a word of encouragement to someone having a bad day. My 90 year old great grandma has lived in my home for 11 years. Through the recent years, I call her every day on my way home asking if she is in need of anything. I have become one of her caregivers repaying her for all the years of encouragement and love.
Respect is a very powerful word it can be given and also taken. So many people really don’t know the definition because they don’t have any for their self. Maybe because they were never taught the word or the meaning. There are rules and meanings to the word Respect.
When our parents are trying to teach us these family rules, they have an optimistic purpose of trying to support us in some way to survive in the world, which they expect us to follow it. The main reason why parents have these expectations is because they want to help us learn these rules to see how it can have a positive behavior with others when talking to them and how to deal with angry people calmly instead of reacting to them the same way they did to us. For example, my mother always used to tell me “Never talk back to your family.” This is one of the biggest rules that needs to be followed up in my family because in India parents always teach their children not to say anything back when someone eldest is trying to talk to you. . In India, talking back to your family is very disrespectful behavior. It creates a lot of problems between family members where they argue and shout at each other for saying things which they should not have said it to the eldest member of the family. This shows how our parents have these expectations on us is because they do not want us to disrespect their elders, they want to us respect everyone and do not say things that might hurt someone’s feeling. Therefore, they want us to have a positive behavior towards everyone and treat everyone the same with respect. Following family rules can also create consequences with family members and parents. If
Respect is a behavior that shows another person moral and ethical acceptance. Showing respect for another, even when not deserved, is considered to be a good sign of breeding in times past, but now as where society has changed, dissing "show disrespect for" has become more accepted, this behavior suggests a cultural shift from rewarding kindness and self-restraint to applauding a more open expression of hospitality through rudeness. Perhapes there is a lessening of concern over being respectable, along with an increased vigilance oto make sure one is respected.Concludeing that Civility must beging with the individual person making small sacraficiesfor others.
In conclusion respect is wrapped around our day to day lives. A famous philosopher once said “Respect is showing acknowledgement for some ones superiority in a certain field.” You can’t buy, demand, or force people to respect you but you can respect others in order for them to respect you. What people do not understand is that if we use common sense we would be respecting ourselves, respecting others, and respecting property all the time. Respecting yourself, others, and property might not be easy to do but it does have great rewards if you just do it.
In our book, In Search of Respect, Bourgois describes the lives of many people living in El Barrio, as well as the constant debate as to whether structure or agency is keeping them in these harsh conditions. Structure can be defined as the “set up” of a particular community. For example, a community may have all of their businesses on one side of town and the parks on the other. This is the structure of the community; the way it is organized. Agency can be defined as a person’s own mindset on things, or even one’s own will to do something. For example, an athlete and an overweight person have different types of agency. The athlete feels that he can overcome boundaries, while the overweight person may blame society for his weight problem.
The excerpt, "The Mayor of Casterbirdge" by Thomas Hardy, he expresses a complex relationship between, Michael and Elizabeth. Implying that both characters have been separated from each other and azination of both constructing a relationship. Even though the father makes it complicated to the point that he reddens her daughter in shame and sadness. At the begging where the father reunites with his daughter, the relationship undergoes ardour and agitation.
The second form of respect is the respect of property. This includes anything from writing on a desk at school to stealing from a department store. Property, whether it is the school's, a company's, a stranger's, or a friends, should always be respected. Respect means taking that extra few seconds to drive the speed limit so as not to hit anyone or anything. It means not smashing a pumpkin at Halloween just for fun. It means not throwing that piece of trash on the ground. That is respect.
Respect Respect is, or should be a very important thing in society today. In my opinion we can get better at being respectful. Some ways we can improve in being more respectful is by respecting our elders and helping them out if they need help with anything. Also we can respect our teachers by paying attention in the classroom and not messing around. We also can respect people at events by not disrupting or interfering with the event.
They always told me to respect others no matter who they were, if I knew them or not, it 's a sign of respect from me and to the other person. It will show that I did grow up with a good education and it will also talk good about my parents. They always told me and kept reminding me that actions speak louder than words, to always show something that I was made of and not something that I 'm not. Hearing other people out, it shows your interests or even if you 're not, but try to show it because it 's showing respect to that person. Being respectful is a big part of me, I can never forget that, because if I want to be respected, I respect other people, to treat them the same way as I want to be treated, even if I think that I 'm not going to receive it back, and if I don 't, it shows that I 'm the bigger person. I guess that showing gratitude was one of the first thing that my parents showed me when I was younger, I always remember when I would receive something they would whisper in my ear or tell me to say "thank you" same thing if I wanted something, to say "please". To respect myself and not let others take
