Resilience In America

When I hear the words America or United States I immediately think of a safe environment, a place where I can be myself. Although I’m not an American citizen I have lived here for four years and from what I have learned and seen with my own eyes is that Americans not only have Bravery but also cooperation and resilience. Any person that has moved here or was born here in our great nation is proud to be here and is willing to fight for this country because this country fought for us. I am so happy to be in the United States and so many other people are grateful to be here too. Bravery, one of the many things I think of when it comes to our country America. When we discuss the past and what our country has gone through we do learn that one of the many things we are known for is our motivation to stand up for ourselves, to fight for our rights and not take commands from anybody. We are independent we have always been this way. Our rights were taken away in the 1700’s by the Congress, they thought we, and by we I mean americans, didn’t have the right to speak up and have free speech and the right to bear arms. I can’t think of another country that has been through what we have gone through. We have fought through two world wars, we survived depressions, we lost thousands of great man that have fought for what we have today. America until this day is still considered the best country to live at. But we did have had many rough moments in our way, and our country wasn’t always so “good”. There were times where our great nation was abstract, not caring and selfish. This year we started learning about Imperialism, sitting there listening to what us americans did to get information and show that we are fearless was awful.
