There once was a period in a time where cats ruled the earth and man followed them as a pet for each individual cat. Everything was in perfect harmony. Mankind obeyed their masters and there were no questions about authority since everyone was happy. A group of men even created a statue of the Sphynx cat breed as a symbol of their gratitude. The Sphynx cat was a very noble and gracious breed. They also had the thickest, most luscious, coat of fur. Sphynx cats treated their pets with respect and kindness, which was the primary cause as to why the group of men created that statue. As the humans began to wish that they were adopted by a Sphynx, the other cat breeds grew to be jealous and mean-spirited. So they devised a plan to get rid of all the humans. One night all the other cat species met up in an abandoned warehouse and debated as to what should happen to all the Sphynx’s and their pet humans. After conversing amongst each other, they came up with a plan to gather all the humans that have a sphinx for an owner, then store them in the industrial sized freezer that is inside the abandoned warehouse they were in. …show more content…
“Are we all clear? No one is to know, except us.” Exclaimed the Siamese over all the voices. Everyone evilly agreed in unison.
After executing the plan flawlessly, all the sphinx cats and their pets were locked in the freezer. The sphinx cats had their large fur coat to keep them warm. However, the humans couldn’t handle the freezing temperatures and began to shiver violently. The sphynxes need the humans to help break out of the freezer so they tried to figure out a way for the humans to warm up. “Why don’t we give the humans our fur coat?” Asked a

The Pygmy three-toed- sloths are described to have buff-colored faces with dark circles that surround the eye and go outwards to their temples. Like all sloths, they are always in doldrums which can be very unbeneficial to them. They have clay-orange fur that covers their face and their hair is long and bushy. “Long hair hangs forward to the forehead, giving the impression of a hood” (Grzimek 161). Their outer fur has coated an alga that is used as camouflage to avoid predators. If they were attacked, they have a high probability of surviving due to their ability to heal from grievous wounds. These sloths have a total of 18 teeth, 10 coming from their upper jaw. Similar to other sloths their body temperature regulation is imperfect (“Bradypus pygmaeus pygmy three-toed sloth” (a)).
The sabertooth cat, also known by its scientific name Smilodon Fatalis, is considered a true form fossil. A fossil is considered a true form fossil when scientists recover fossils of the actual animal or animal part. These bones were oftentimes subjected to physical processes while still on the surface. These processes include heat, cold, wind and rain.
Mythological Details: My novel is fiction because it involves the Egyptian gods in a modern day world, and also the main characters pet cat had been an Egyptian god, named Bast, that had been ordered to protect them. A quote to support this is "So, yeah. Our cat was a goddess" (Riordan, 114).
"What animal walks on all fours in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs at night?" The famous riddle of the sphinx that has been pondered for many years; it is a universal issue that affects all people of every nationality, ethnicity, religion, or geographic area. We, ourselves, are the answer to this puzzle and yet we fight this explanation with every tool possible. We avoid it, refuse to admit it, read about it, joke about it, and deep down we often dread growing old.

Ever since I was a young child I have enjoyed catfishing. Catfish are one of the roughest and toughest freshwater fish in the world. The catfish species can be found in just about any river or lake in the US. When a catfish gets irritated and caught on the line it likes to jerk and spin, this makes catching a catfish one of the most adrenaline pumping experiences of a lifetime. Have in mind that catfish can be pretty small in weight maybe a pound or two and can easily grow up to be over 40 pounds.

Leopard carried the baby up to her tree home so hyenas would not grab it for food. The mother leopard treated the baby baboon like she treated her own cubs.
This extract is about animals having a conversation. The conversation is started by who may seem like the “alpha animal” just by the phrase “I do not think, comrades, that I shall be with you for many months longer…” This phrase also infers that he is very wise and possibly the oldest as it is suggested that he may die soon. This paragraph is about him explaining
The main reason why humans keep animals and birds in cages is because they can be capricious and potentially dangerous. As you can see, many humans keep animals and birds as pets. Human hardly understand animals’ and birds’ languages and that is why they appear as unpredictable to humans. For instance, a pet dog can roam around in the owner’s house, urinate and carry mud onto the carpeted floor. Irritation is ensured on the owner’s part due to the unhygienic environment. T...
The Lion has long been considered the embodiment of the term “alpha male” in the animal kingdom. For thousands of years in human culture, the lion has been considered a truly iconic animal with strong associations to dominance and strength. Expressions such as “the lion’s share” and “lion-hearted” have become part of our daily vernacular and convey some level of power. Looking back in history to the time of Egyptian Pharaohs, the bodies of the sphinxes were constructed in a way that resembles a lion. Stone lions are commonly built and overlook things such as castles and battlefields as a symbol of protection and strength. Because of its intimidating size and ferocious appearance it has given the moniker of “The King of the Jungle”. Lions belong to the Panthera Leo species and belongs to the Felidae family and Pantherinae subfamily (Grzimek, 2004). Lions are also considered one of the “Big Four Cats” in the Panthera genus and are considered second in size and length only to the Tiger (Grzimek, 2004).
