Anatomy: We Learn about Leopard's Body and Fur
Leopard belongs to a group called "big cats". There are only three cats bigger than him - lion, jaguar and tiger. His body is long and slender, at about 6.5-10 feet. He weighs anywhere from 65-155 pounds and grows to about 17.5-30.5 inches tall. He has short, sturdy legs.
His tail, almost as long as his body, helps Leopard stay balanced when he is in a tree. Leopard's tan colored coat is short and shiny, with spots shaped like flowers on his back. The color of the coat depends upon where they live – their habitat. Grassland leopards have a light yellow coat and those who live in forests are darker and have more spots.
These "flowers", called rosettes help leopard blend in with grasslands or forests. The spots become solid on his face and limbs and are ring-shaped on his tail. Spots let him hide from other animals, like antelope and bush pig that will become his dinner.

The Pygmy three-toed- sloths are described to have buff-colored faces with dark circles that surround the eye and go outwards to their temples. Like all sloths, they are always in doldrums which can be very unbeneficial to them. They have clay-orange fur that covers their face and their hair is long and bushy. “Long hair hangs forward to the forehead, giving the impression of a hood” (Grzimek 161). Their outer fur has coated an alga that is used as camouflage to avoid predators. If they were attacked, they have a high probability of surviving due to their ability to heal from grievous wounds. These sloths have a total of 18 teeth, 10 coming from their upper jaw. Similar to other sloths their body temperature regulation is imperfect (“Bradypus pygmaeus pygmy three-toed sloth” (a)).
Individualism and conformity--two very commonly used terms to describe anyone in today’s time. In comparison to the article “The Sociology of Leopard Man,” written by Logan Feys, one of the most notable quotes that relates to individualism and conformity is “to be a human is to be an individual human, with individual tastes [...][and]talents [...] that are distinct from those of others. Living in society, we are under constant pressure to surrender our individuality to the will of the majority, the school, the workplace, the family, …” (Feys Par. 6). To be truthful, conformity and nonconformity are used to determine a person’s inner-being, but every person is different, and in this case people will not always agree with each other on how they should live.

He does not have adhesive pads on the bottom of his feet like most geckos. He has tiny claws that allow him to grip onto a piece of clothing, such as a sweatshirt.
