I've been working for Lowe's Companies for almost 3 years in May. I started at the retail store where I was apart of the Red Vest Mentor program. I was responsible for training and mentoring the front end associates in customer service. During my time there I also took on the responsibility to work standby for the cash administration office. As a back up cash administrator, I was responsible for processing daily businesses and cash deposits, as well as counting and staging cash drawer tills. Within this past year I advanced to the corporate office and worked for 6 months as a customer care agent. I worked on a team as an EOS (employee opinion survey) captain where I was responsible for encouraging my coworkers to provide feedback regarding
upper management performance, coordinating site events, as well as initiating programs to help Lowe's employees love where they work. After working in that position for 6 months, I was promoted to a Customer Care "Pro" (supervisor) where I take escalated calls and guide other call center agents with their calls. About two weeks ago, I facilitated the training for the new "Pros" that were promoted. My goal is to keep the momentum going and continue to take on other leadership tasks moving forward.
Redwall is about a young mouse named Matthias. He lived in an abbey called Redwall. Redwall was a nice, peaceful place until a rat called Cluny the Scourge came with his horde and tried to take it over. The night before the citizens of Redwall knew that Cluny was coming, Matthias and Brother Alf had caught a giant fish that was big enough to feed all of the animals inside of Redwall so they had a big feast. When Matthias and Constance the badger were taking some of the animals who lived outside of the abbey home, they saw Cluny and his horde rolling past in a hay cart so they went back to the abbey to warn everyone.
I used to work at ITW Tomco, before my first daughter was born. I worked there as a unit operator for about three years. I was on second shift for a little over a year then moved to first shift after building up enough seniority. I worked other jobs too but they were all in the Philippines. They were all contractual so they didn’t last longer than six months. Because ITW Tomco is my longest work history so far, I will be discussing its communication climate here.
Although I was the youngest employee in our department, my coworkers treated me as an equal. I was part of the team that must work together in a fast pace, quick turn-around time to meet deadlines and occasionally working long hours finishing reports. It was the type of jobs that can make or break anyone brave enough to endure, and I am grateful for the experience. While employed in this job, I also grew as a person. I learned integrity is everything in regards to human interactions, as well as self-respect and respect for my co-workers. I learned to value time and prioritize my daily tasks. Running The Front End Day after day, I work at Home Depot. I’ve worked at Home Depot for 6 months. My position is cashier. A few months have gone by and all I do is show up and do my job as a cashier. The cashiers have someone who runs the front end along with every register in the store, and that person is a head cashier.

Why should I selected, Ever since joining the Corps I have heard of Mountain Cadet Leadership School(MCOLS) and have always wanted to go. I should be chosen because i am a hard worker. When I joined the Corps I was excited and wanted to give everything I had into the Corp and I still do this year, I also plan to. I know how things work around the Corps, I know that you have to be honest and have moral values.
Working at Buckle definitely has its pros and cons, everyone at Buckle always has a smile on their face no matter what is happening or what the day brings for everyone. When everyone gets to work either in the morning shift or the evening shift we also have a meeting about the day and what sections everyone is in for the day. The store is split up in four sections; girls back, girls front, guys back, and guy front. There about five us working the each shift including the manger. All of us has a sale goal for each day, we all should make at least $145 by end of the day to hit our commission sale. Anyhow, there are many problems at Buckle that will need to be fixed sooner than later. I will describe the work place environment at Buckle eventful. I work full-time as a payroll coordinator at a wine and spirit distributor. No, I do not get freebies on wine or spirits bottles – it’s a sin! However, they do conduct wine tasting classes during lunch hours so associates may try several new wines. Of course, the head educator does monitor our alcohol intake. I was making what I thought was a fair wage and felt valued within the organization. The manager eventually resigned because of a difference of opinion with the vice president of the company and he asked me to fill the role as Plant manager. I thought for sure that another well respected supervisor who had a business degree and was my senior by twenty years would be ideal candidate for this position, but this VP insisted and I was promoted. He said something that resonated with me until today, He said that I was special, that he never met anyone who could manage as many different roles as I did or who could see the end result of a project when it’s in the concept stage. So, I feel it would be in everyone’s best interest if you would consider letting me go back to part-time. This was a very difficult decision for me especially since you felt I was qualified and tested me in so many different roles. But, I have a life plan and I want to do things differently in my life which is going to require me to further my education. Just as Lowe’s states we are constantly evolving and I am evolving into the individual I feel I need to become. It was three months ago when I was hired as a manager with a large salon and spa chain. I worked three hours on Sunday 8/30/2015 at Old Navy. The store was the slowest I have ever seen (even more slow than before). I was assigned to work on the cashier but I wound up doing a variety of jobs. I first organized the shoe rack which always seems to be messy no matter how many times I clean it up. I also organized the jewelry and the clothes in the front area of the store. I then taught myself how to fold the clothes. My mangers said during orientation, that they will have an experienced employee teach me how to fold. As an intern at Goodwill Industries, I am a part of the resource center as a resource service assistant. I have several task right now until the second week of March. The position that I hold now ties into the other areas at Goodwill. I help clients with their computer skills. Many times people have come into the resource center and are experiencing being on the computer for the first time, some have taken the basic computer class at Goodwill, yet are not comfortable making a cover letter or resume. I help them in these areas. I also help them with email set up and sometimes I am there to listen to them tell their stories.
