I realize that my GPA was at an unacceptable level and understand that my future as a student has been threatened. I have taken some time to think about the reasons for my poor academic performance in the hopes that by identifying the causes of my difficulties, I can make a good case for readmission and take the appropriate steps to make improvements in my future studies. Firstly, one important issue contributing to my poor performance was my lack of time management skills. Following my suspension, I realized that my own inability to manage time was a major factor in my poor academic performance. I have dedicated time and effort to developing a schedule and sticking to it - both in my personal life and for my academic studies. I feel as though this important change has prepared me to not only perform …show more content…
This is the main reason for my readmission; I wish to continue learning academically. I have undertaken independent learning to strengthen my knowledge of concepts and issues I found unclear. My personal reflection also helped me realize that I need to dedicate more personal time to studying and advancing my knowledge of important relevant concepts. As a related step, I have formed an independent study and resource group with some other students facing similar challenges. We have agreed to meet on a regular basis to talk about issues we may be having in or outside of school, and provide each other with
My name is Kaha Salad and I am appealing my Satisfactory Academic Progress suspension. Autumn semester of 2013 was a difficult time for me, I was going through many different changes in my life and I just didn’t know how to adapt. I experienced a personal event in the summer of 2013 that made my life change forever. My Grandmother Khadija died, she was the light of my family’s lives. My mother was immensely affected by her death, she went into a state of depression and she then stopped working. I took it upon myself to help out my grieving mother and get a job to help pay with the bills that was piling up. I began working
I am writing this email to appeal me being put on academic probation. I believe that there was a factor of my education that the academic board has missed, and I wish to clarify what exactly it was.
I must also acknowledge my role in my transcript’s substandard showing. As my SAT and ACT scores indicate, I have the potential to achieve success in any field chosen. However, I have procrastinated and failed to apply myself to my studies. This year I have made and earnest effort to improve my work ethic. My grade point average is rising and my study habits are improving. I know that I can continue with this improvement.
I am writing today to appeal my academic probation status so that I may continue receiving the Pell Grant for my studies. I have had an obvious stumble in my beginnings with FAU but I am certain that with steps I've taken this summer I will be back on track to a good academic standing while completing my bachelor's degree. After withdrawing from two classes this past spring I dropped below the 67% required completion rate. Despite this, I persisted and paid for a summer class myself. I also withdrew from this second-attempt class.
Although it may have a positive effect on some students, suspensions don’t work, students don’t learn anything from being suspended, suspensions give students a chance to stay home, and suspensions don’t teach students how to fix their behavior for future situations. When students are suspended they do not learn anything. A 2011 study showed that Texas students were suspended or expelled once or more during middle or high school, had on average four such disciplinary actions during their academic careers. Although some students may take something away from their suspension, others may just see it as a chance to sit around and not do their work. Therefore,
I am writing this letter with unwavering confidence in recommending Mr. Wayne Pondexter for admission in your undergraduate program.
Dear Admission Committee, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to request special consideration for my current academic circumstances, despite the lateness of this submission. Since 2020, I have been confronting a series of unforeseen personal challenges that gradually escalated in severity. Despite being diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in February 2023, I believed that I had overcome these obstacles and continued to push forward without seeking further assistance.

Whenever a student breaks a rule or policy, in-school suspension can be assigned as a means of punishment but the students will be allowed to stay in school. Because of the negative results of out-of-school suspension (OSS), for example, student estrangement and diminished scholarly accomplishment, and the disgrace connected to the school 's report card, administrators progressively depend on in-school suspension (ISS) programs as a teaching measure for failing to meet expectations students with behavior problems (Devlin, 2006).
In conclusion of this application I would like to thank the committee for taking the time out of their busy lives to contribute to us, future graduate students, and I am excited to take the next step in my life, which is undertaking a graduate studies program. Again thank you for your time and consideration. I will wait patiently for your response.
This letter is my formal request for reinstatement of Institutional Police Officer under the job classification, 8204. This request is submitted approximately 10-months after I tendered my willing and honorable resignation from said classification. Having had sufficient time to reflect on and weigh the past decision and circumstances that led to my resignation, I felt compelled to reach out to Chief Barnes expressing my remorse for resigning and asked him would he accept my plea to be reinstated. Chief Barnes affirmed, “Yes” and he would not be against my reinstatement. He told me he would need to explore what he needed to do as the appointing officer to make it happen.
Concluding, to be as effective and productive as I ambitiously hope I seek to continue my studies at your respected establishment. The program you provide is very appealing to my vision of the professional I hope to become, and essential in equipping me with the tools I need to realize my ambitions.
