Racism as we know it has increased many folds over the past 2 to 5 years to the extent that it gets absolutely inhuman and insulting. Lead author Kalwant Bhopal, a social scientist at the University of Southampton, UK, talks about her studies of racism in academia and what could be done to prevent an exodus of talent. Keeping in mind that this study is not restricted to the UK only, coming to think this problem has been there since long.

As a result, they would have kids, would not be able to pay for higher education for those kids, maybe not even be able to properly feed them. As a result, the kids grow up uneducated, cannot acquire a skilled labor job, and the cycle repeats. One can argue that offering cheaper/free education for that minority, for a few generations would break the cycle. The same goes for admissions at universities, getting their SATs or even getting themselves jobs. Getting into a decent university means coping with verbal harassments, the school sheet says the average acceptance score of the SAT for whites is 1780, Asian, 1900 and black 1420. Why is it because of race that the college has to accept lower scores? Shouldn't the best student get the ride and not the white student only? . Everyone has the ability to make it into college and get good grades if they work towards it. Not be given a discount just because of race? The world still has a concept of a "Black school" or "Spanish school" in the public school system. Also, if you're a kid with a family that's underprivileged because your parents have been subject to racial bias, you may not have access to quality learning opportunities, or even a good
