These are your overall health and wellness, your pain and energy levels, and social relationships. One of the major lifestyle changes that can take place and have a great effect on your quality of life are the social relations that you make and the social support that you have. Social support is one of the most important types of social influences in exercise. Social support is the comfort, assistance, and caring information a person receives from others. There have been numerous studies done on how social support improves exercise and influences more people to be active. As a person received more emotional support the more likely it was for them to adhere to an exercise program. Whether it is family support, physician, instructors, or even other exercisers in the group providing the support, it helps influence a person to continue to exercise. Without that support a person might give up on exercising a day into the program. All of this support from different people helps build a positive felling about exercise to the participant. Once that is done a person can continue to exercise and improve their quality of life to the best of their
Pate et al. (1995) stated that physical activity is needed for health promotion and disease prevention. They also stated that every adult should do at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise everyday if possible. Moderate intensity exercising includes activities such as brisk walking and cycling as stated by the Department of Health (2011). They also state that regular physical activity will improve a person’s mental health as it will increase self esteem and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Physical wellbeing is also enhanced by an increase in physical activity. The World Health Organisation (WHO) (2002) found that in developed countries 20% of heart disease and 10% of strokes are due to physical inactivity. Furthermore a lack of physical activity is found to cause 3% of all diseases.
...llets under here are a few of the benefits,1; Weir, 2011,14). “The exercise or activity allows one to maintain a healthier weight. The muscles are more firm, they have better shape, they have better tone so when we look in mirrors, we feel better about ourselves so that is the emotional thing,” Kathy Tucker (personal communication, May 7th, 2014). Exercise can also alleviate anger and frustration, as well as, give a person a sense of achievement (Exercise and Mental Health, n.d.,bullets under here are a few of the benefits, 4,6).
When the era has changed, people had turned to pay attention to more exercises, including cardio exercise in order to be able to protect themselves from the negative effect of this changing. For example, playing cardio helps people to make the body strong due to the weather that has the dust. The fact is from my experience and observation found that most people tend to neglect to take care of health. It appeared that poor health, so causes vision to develop this issue. Good physical and mental health can improve your quality of life in your older years. Health psychology is a relatively new concept rapidly growing and could be defined as the biological and psychological influences affect ones behaviour also bringing in social influences of health and illness (MacDonald, 2013). Biological determinants consider genetic and biological factors of an illness whereas psychological determinants focus on the psychological factors such as why people behave the way they do when dealing with issues such as anxiety and stress. Models such as the Health Belief Model and Locus of Control were developed in attempt to try and explain psychological issues around a chronic illness such as breast cancer (Ogden, 2012). Sociological factors can cause an enormous amount of pressure for one to behave in a certain way for example gender roles in society and religious considerations when dealing with health beliefs. Health Beliefs can be defined as one’s own perception to their own personal health and illness and health behaviours (Ogden, 2012). There are also theories and models used to explain pain and coping with diagnosis such as Moos and Schaefer (1984) Crisis theory and Shontz (1975) cycle of grief people go through when being diagnosed with a serious illness.
Human life is full of meaning. As humans, we assign value to many things. However, what happens when we assign a specific value to a human life? This is the issue being presented in the article, “What is a Life Worth,” by Amanda Ripley. The government is determining a monetary value to a human life, and it does not appeal to the masses. There are many problems with the cold calculation, and most people cannot see the other side of the numbers. The economic value of a human life is calculated based on the income the person was receiving, but when the check is given to a loved one of a small amount, the compensation is misinterpreted as an overall value of the human life. The true value of a human life should not be combined with the monetary value that is determined by the government, or the value of life would be worth very little.

One of the best ways in how people can improve their overall mood, keep their bones healthy and even live longer, is by being an active person. Fred DeVito stated that “if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn 't change you”; however most people just want exercise just to have a fit body and be healthier without knowing great results. Other effects that exercise has into the body are normalization of glucose, insulin and leptin levels. In other words not only will it make the appearance in a person’s life to look great, but their entire body will have an extraordinary response. In order to have a more fulfilling and enjoyable life, those who are out of shape should participate in regular fitness schedule reginert.
