is made up of different levels, that displays the most basic needs, at the bottom of the pyramid. As the needs of the consumer become more complex , then it will be placed at the top of the pyramid. According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, the needs at the bottom, are physiological needs, like the need for food, water, sleep and warmth. This therefore can be seen as the most basic needs. It is said that when a person succeeds an important need, it will become a motivator for the next step to try and satisfy the next most important need. This therefore brings us to the next step. The next level, is the need for safety and security that need to be looked at.
As needs become more and more complex, then needs become more psychological and social. This brings us to the next step, which is the need for love, acceptance and also the need of a sense of belonging in society. Further up the pyramid, the need for personal esteem, status and feelings become important. The last step of the pyramid, is the highest part of the pyramid, this talks about self – actualizing needs. Its about self development and realization.

The physiological level, which is at the bottom of the pyramid, must be carried out first in order to reach the top level of self-actualization. Some of the needs in this level are food, water, air, shelter, and sleep. These certain needs are what the man and the boy are searching for throughout the entire book. In the bottom level of
Maslow suggested that there are five levels of need. Level one needs are basic needs such as food and shelter which need to be meet before moving to the next level of need. Each level should be meet in turn up to level five, self-actualisation. An example of this in current practice is providing children with snack and water during the school day fulfilling basic needs and providing opportunities to develop friendships and feel safe at school to express their feelings can fulfil needs in levels 2 and 3 of Maslowâ€TMs hierarchy of
Physiological needs are at the bottom of the pyramid and is broken down into many different parts. A person’s most basic need for survival is physical survival and once that level has been achieved you gradually go upwards on the pyramid. Physiological needs are broken down into
A pyramid was proposed by an American psychologist, which came to be know as “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.” This concept that he brings through this theory is that to move up in human existence, in consciousness, we must first fulfill our needs based in order of their importance for our survival. If we are lacking security and safety we will not seek out, maybe even be unable to recognize, possess, or reciprocate, love.
According with Maslow, all human being do have the same innate needs that active and drive their behaviors. These needs were organized from stronger to weaker in a pyramid known as hierarchy of needs, where the stronger need should be meet before people can have the need to accomplish the weaker one. Moreover, people can go back to the first need at any point of their life. The first two need are known as deficit needs or biological needs because without them people create a deficit in their body. The last three one are known as growth or psychological needs and are not essential for human survival.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs are the things stages in life by which you develop from a primitive creature, to a more human being. These stages include physiological needs, safety and security, belongingness, esteem, and finally self-actualization. I subconsciously work toward each one of these levels every single day. Although it seems basic, the hierarchy is much more in depth than one might think.
Psychologist Abraham Maslow created the hierarchy of needs, outlining and suggesting what a person need to reach self-actualization and reveal the true potential of themselves. In the model, Maslow propose that a person has to meet basic needs in order to reach the true potential of themselves. Biological/physiological needs, safety needs, love/belonging need, esteem needs according to Maslow is the fundamental frame for reaching the peak of self. The last need to be met on the scale
The hierarchy of needs is frequently represented in the shape of a pyramid and is broken up into 5 separate stages with the main, most important levels of necessities at the bottom and the need for self-actualization
Furthermore, the third stage is love needs, which includes having friends and group acceptance. Esteem needs is the fourth stage. Achievement and personal worth are both examples needed for this. Lastly, self-actualization is the fifth stage of the pyramid. With this, you are reaching your full potential and being the best version of yourself.
In 1943, psychologist Abraham Maslow developed a theory of basic human needs: Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. His theory suggests that embedded in the very nature of each human being are certain needs that must be attained in order for a person to be whole physically, psychologically, and emotionally. First, there are phys...
The first level of needs is the biological and psychological, this level includes basic needs for food, water, shelter, sleep etc. Once this lowest level of needs has been met, it is only then that the individual can move on to the following stages (Chapman 2001-4). The second stage is safety needs, this includes the need for protection and security, stability and law etc. and once the needs in this stage are met, the individual can move onto the third stage of belongingness and love, the individual needs family, and affection and positive relationships for them to feel a sense of belonging and can move on to the 4th stage, self-esteem, and achievements, independence and responsibility. If the needs in the 3rd stage are not met, and the child does not feel a sense of belonging they will therefore struggle to gain self-esteem and cannot move onto the 4th stage. Once all of the needs in each of the first 4 stages are met the child can move onto the final level of self-actualisation in which they realise their potential and seek personal growth (Chapman 2001-4). Chapman also discusses that if our lower, most basic needs are not met we are no longer concerned about the maintenance of our higher needs and do not strive to meet them. McLeod 2007 also backs this up by explaining that once the basic needs in the first stage are met, humans will be motivated to meet the needs in the next stage, and as the individual gets older, and the longer the needs are denied from them, the more motivated they will be to get them. An example given by McLeod states that the longer a person goes without food, the hungrier they will become and they will then be more motivated to get food. According to McLeod, every person is capable of achieving each need, although some people fail to reach the needs at the top of the hierarchy as lower level needs
Pyramid is a structure that is usually with four cornered base that transforms into a triangular point. There are three main lonely structured pyramids in Giza which is on the edge of the Sahara Deserts, however there are over seventy pyramids in Egypt .Also these pyramids were not only built as standalone structures, it was also a part of the entire pyramid complex .
There are five levels to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. In order the levels are Physiological, Safety, Belongingness, Esteem, and Self- actualization. These levels of needs help define and explain how a person perceives a need. Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs can be used for marketing purposes and social work purposes. People who work in marketing can use the knowledge obtained from Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs to market goods.
Food, water, sleep, and sensory gratification are all at the top of the hierarchy. These and other needs are considered to be part of the psychological needs. These rest at the top of the hierarchy because they are the essence to basic human survival. The list of these needs can be much larger or shorter depending of personal opinion. Maslow himself said that said “it would be po...
