Strategic Planning and Tactical Planning
Strategic planning and tactical planning work hand in hand. A strategic plan has long term goals, objectives, and step to reach the goals and objectives. A tactical plan is a smaller plan based on the strategic plan. The tactical plan is shorter than strategic planning. Applying the concepts of these plans are very beneficial. Personally, these plans can be used to obtain life goals. For example, I plan to be a hospice social worker. The Strategic plan is the basic steps enacted to reach my goal. Like attending college, complete field, and continue my education. The tactical steps would be to read information attaining to hospice care, volunteering, and attending free training seminars. For future clients, these planning strategies can be used to determine the best plan of care. There are five levels to Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. In order the levels are Physiological, Safety, Belongingness, Esteem, and Self- actualization. These levels of needs help define and explain how a person perceives a need. Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs can be used for marketing purposes and social work purposes. People who work in marketing can use the knowledge obtained from Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs to market goods. The Hierarchy of Needs can help people determine their target market, how to appeal to their target market, and can help determine if a good would be profitable. For social workers Maslow’s Hierarchy of Need is used for similar means. Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs helps social workers determine what services are needed and the importance of those needs.
