INTRODUCTION Project Management is a concept of making the project successful through knowledge, processes, methods and experience. Every project is unique since it needs the same mythology of the methods but the circumstances are always different. The success rate of a project can be derived from the output it produces, outcomes or benefits, according to a criteria within agreed budget and timescale. Figure 1 Time Cost Quality Model The project management is a skill to apply the functions correctly which measures the outcome of the project, the more the skill the nice the outcome will be. This comes through experience and having a proper knowledge of some of the functions like 1. Planning 2. Organising 3. Directions 4. Control These functions looks very simple in some way but the logic in how to apply depends on person to person, which fetches the maximum probable outcome of the project. The importance of project management lies the foundation in successful completion of the project. There is a great difference between project management and the ordinary management, which is explained in the flow chart in figure 2. The project management have a particular initiative of a plan and then those plans are directed in a particular process which have certain measures depending on the project nature which is done in a controlled manner and if it has many processes then the cycle is repeated over and over, as it reaches the last stage then the project finally terminated. But on the other hand the ordinary management does not initiate the project with a proper plan and also it does not end the project in a proper manner since the processes are not followed correctly so the project never ends it goes on and on, one or the other problem ... ... middle of paper ... ...ved that the organization will launch it as soon as possible. Other than the attributes which is there in ECS 1 the ECS 2 will cover some more important attributes which are as follows: 1. Air Quality Monitoring: This basically measures the quality of air how much it is rich in oxygen and what ratio of CO2 and other harmful gases are present in the room so that it can be managed providing an ambient temperature. 2. Room occupancy Monitoring: This will monitor that there is how many people in the room so that the amount of air and humidity can be controlled also if there is no one in the room then the lights will be automatically switched off. 3. Automatic Light Control: This will sense the person inside the room or the room is empty so that the electricity is only used when needed. These are some of the attributes which are added in the ECS 2 with the interface.

The project manager is the key person responsible for the overall project and serves as the steering mechanism for the project team (Cornell Project Management Methodology, n.d.). In order to become an effective project manager, there are certain skill sets that are required to set one on a path to project management. Organizations like the Project Management Institute serve as the conduit for training and certifying project managers.

The project manager leads the project and provides vision, direction and encouragement. The project manager takes lead in project planning to determine the schedule and budgets neces-sary to meet the project objectives and is responsible for delivering the project once the pro-ject has been approved by senior management. The project manager is also responsible for the project support team.
A project is a defined as a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result (Larson, 2014). The characteristics of a project in the context of project management include an established objective, a defined life span with a start and finish, the involvement of a collection of different departments and other professionals, non-static with innovations of new ideas/processes, a clearly defined budget and specified requirements (Laron, 2014).
This study aims to find the relationship between leadership performance style and project success and to research that whether the project success is influenced by leadership style. According to Belout and Gauvreau (2004), “Nowadays, project management has become a key activity in most modern organizations. Projects usually have a wide variety of objectives, involve numerous internal and external actors, and are conducted in various activity sectors”. Many researchers have agreed that project leadership is one of the most crucial elements of a project’s success. There are many views on leadership and according to Dulewicz and Higgs (2005), leadership has been studied more than any other aspect of human behavior. Higgs (2003) identified six
Project management is said to be completed within time when it completed within the “triple constraints”: cost, time and quality. And in a lot of causes, one them is sacrificed so as to meet the other two. Project managers prioritize which ones are the most important.
Project management is the application of skills, knowledge, and techniques to perform projects efficiently and effectively . It is a strategic competency for organizations to enabling them to link results of project to business goals and will be better compete in their markets.
Project managers have to improve their skills every day to deal with the organizational change and especially the world’s Megatrends. However, it can be a challenge for a project manager to comprehend what skills they should be improved, what sections of project management knowledge that should be tried to perceive, and how to measure and enhance their performance.
What does it mean to be agile? According to Dictionary.com’s definition, agile is the “ability to think quickly; mentally acute or aware” (Dictionary.com, 2017). If we were to relate agile to the project management world, we would be interested in the ability of management teams to quickly adapt and make decisions. In traditional project management, the project team, along with their formal roles such as project manager follows a formal process of detailed phases in order to define the project, project roles, and create detailed estimates to ensure the project runs smoothly. These definitions are formal and ensure that all possibilities are accounted for before running the project. Formal is the key word when we talk
“Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to organisational and project activities to achieve the aims of an organisation through projects” (PMI, 2003).
An implementation of a new project has many different phases that must be addressed in order to have a successful outcome. The phase of a project make up what is known as a project life cycle. A generic project life cycle will be introduced to aid in the understanding of this process. Each of the phases of the life cycle must be examined along with the process groups involved. A look into how a project life cycle is used in specific industries will also be touched on. The completion of the examination of the project life cycle will also aid in the determination of the proposed topic of my final project. The life cycle is an essential tool used in an effective completion of a project.
When planning a new project, how the project will be managed is one of the most important factors. The importance of a managers will determine the success of the project. The success of the project will be determined by how well it is managed. Project management is referred to as the discipline that entails the processes of carefully planning, organizing, controlling, and motivating the organization resources so as to foster and facilitate the achievement of specific established and desired goals and meet the specific criteria of success required in the organization (Larson, 2014). Over the course of this paper I will be discussing and analyzing the importance of project management.
Project management involves all activities that encompass scheduling, planning, and controlling projects. A successful project manager ensure that an organization’s resources are being used both efficiently and effectively. Most projects need to be uniquely developed require a sense of customization and the ability to adapt to any posed challenges. The scope of effective project management includes defining what the project is and what is being expected to be accomplished. Projects are imposed to fulfill a certain need and project managers must have the ability to create the proper definition. Goals and the means used to attain those goals have to be clearly stated. Project Managers must also have the ability to plan
Process Management can be defined as a concept which helps integrate performance excellence and quality into the strategic management of organizations. Process management includes activities such as defining a process, establishing responsibilities, evaluating process performance and also identifying opportunities for improvement. Innovation, on the other hand, can be defined as the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes or services to gain competitive advantage. After reading the first article it is clear that it focuses mainly on three different programs that are associated with process management. These three processes are listed as TQM, ISO 9000, and Six Sigma.
