There are four foundation subjects which I have obtained in the first semester, providing for me a primary academic knowledge and experience through workshops, teamwork, assignments and experiential conversation. Moreover, I tried to read academic books about construction project management skills, especially cases study in the construction field that allowed to have an awareness about what usually happen and their outcome in reality. In addition, I got a part-time job in construction site which helped me to get an understanding about construction field in Australia and learn how to manage a construction project from my boss.
2.2 Fostering my experience, practice and skills in management and leadership. I have used tools and techniques that I studied in last previous semester to apply it in projects, which I done before to practice and improve for myself. On the other hand, I got management and leadership knowledge and helpful information by reading useful resource such as: Harvard Business Review, Forbes magazine and so on. I have completed Bsc (Hons) Construction management at the University of West London, and I would now like to further my career by studying MSC Project enterprise and management at UCL. I have made this decision after understanding that this course will enable me to develop a broad understating of construction management of large and complex projects and increase my commercial awareness of these projects. I also expect this course to be taught with both academic rigour and place consistent emphasis on practical application of what I learn to construction environment. After working in construction for industry for almost 2 years, and studying a bachelor’s degree I feel I am more than capable of completing Msc Project Entriprise with success as I have already experienced the rigors & dynamics of university education.

In addition to recognizing the importance of work-life balance, the program also helped me nurture skills that are crucial in the promotion of an effective balance between work and other aspects of life. As I was going through the program, I was able to balance my commitments in the program with my personal life. This helped me to reduce stress and so I approached my responsibilities positively and with great energy. Furthermore, valuable tips on how to maintain proper work-life balance including the need to exercise and meditate, not to seek perfectionism, to always have a schedule and adhere to it, and ensure I stay healthy.

Throughout this term, my fellow classmates and I have had a chance to participate in a group project with two or three of our peers. The general topic was a vivid problem in a industry. Our class had a very wide and diverse sets of topics: from Styrofoam, to industrial hacking, to corruption in an influential international organization like FIFA, and so many more. Our group decided to develop a project named “Outsourcing and the price we pay for brands”. The name itselves is somewhat self-explanatory, however the problem is so much more complicated and interesting. In this paper, many struggles and concerns, of the group and of my my own, will be unfolded as I reflect the progress of this project.
