When you are trying to get a job, once you apply you may receive a call to come in for an interview. You should not wait around for someone asking you to do something, take the initiative to take control and take care of that matter yourself. Most interview questions have people squirming in their seats, but there is a question that I feel comfortable answering and the question is "what are your skills and abilities?". I personally have not received a professional interview so I have never had to answer this question but I feel that it is simple to discuss what you are good at and by answering this question, you are telling your employer about your skills. Skills an employer may check for is how you work with others, computer skills, organizational skills, or how you work under pressure. While being asked this question I would inform my employer that I work great with others and have in the past jobs I have had and would let them know of my computer and typing skills. Lastly, I would speak to the employer about my organizational skills. I feel confident in these areas and feel that I am very good at these skills. The job I am currently employed at enables me to speak to customers, interact with my coworkers, and also to be able to use a Point of Sale system. The purpose of this interview is to explore human service professional in their work environment, and observe human service professional in their particular settings, what type of education is required for their position of choice. The human services profession has a variety of populations that they serve; this is a wide array of people. Human service professionals serve populations such as, high-risk mothers who may have shortfalls in education, psychosocial, nutritional, and little or no transportation. Another is the homeless population, lack housing due to being unable to afford, or maintain safe and adequate housing. The elderly is a population that is increasing, there needs range from chronic illness, lack of or little education, mentally, financial, loss of independence, and stereotyping. They serve those diagnose with a chronic illnesses, such illnesses may be diagnoses of , high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, there is also the chronic mentally ill who are consider high risk, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD(attention deficit hyperactive disorder). These are just a few of the services that a human service professional may work with.
The first of these characteristics is my hard working mentality, and I am sure that this characteristic is thrown around a lot by candidates but I believe that I truly work harder than most people are willing to. I have had to earn every ounce of everything that I currently have. Whether it was finally getting into Pitt, or playing football at the DII college level the only reason I have ever been able to attain these achievements is that I put in the time, and worked harder than even I thought was possible for myself, I was never the most naturally gifted person in the world, I had to work hard, or I would not be in the position to even apply for a position such as this. Another thing that I feel differentiates myself is that I have experience in many different academic disciplines, I was not that student that simply took my major classes, and easy classes to get through school. Field Interview The field interview was conducted on September 5th, 2017 at the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center located in Lexington, South Carolina. This organization provides services to children who have experienced various forms of child maltreatment including physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, drug endangerment, witnessing of domestic violence and other types of traumatic events. The non-profit facility provides children and their non-offending caregivers with a continuum of care through child centered therapeutic services. In order to assess the organization's interventions and methods of evaluations, staff member Laura Mullee, LMSW, was interviewed.

These are the skills I already have such as: communication; personal skills; motivational; creative and time management skills.
