There are different sports of course. You have the team sports, basketball, football, track, etc and there are individual sports, golf. In just about any sport, athletes only play for a few years. But, when they are playing that sport, they must practice alot and you must also stay competitive. There practice hours are about or over forty hours a week, during season. During off season, not as much. On season or off season, they must be at the highest level of training. Athletes also have special diets to help stay fit. Even on windy and stormy days, you still have to have practice. On holidays you also have to have practice. The view that I take on this topic is a conservative view because I really don’t think that these players should get paid. I side with the NCAA completely about how these players are student athletes and are only amateurs. These kids are going to college for school first whether you think you’re gonna make it pro or not you still have to get the grades to get onto the field. These details could involve technical, equipment, administration problems and could lead to the derailment of their performance because they weren't ready for problems that popped up. Such as the wrong tires for their bike or an administration issue such as not being registered on the day or incorrect information. Obvious limitations can include the amount of back up staff you have to support the athlete so they can take care of the small things, such as transport, accommodation and anything else that may be necessary to make the wheels turn.
