Problems of Teacher Education
It is universally acknowledged that education is an effective means for social reconstructions and to a great extent it offers solutions to the problems a society is faced with. These problems may be economic, social, cultural, political, moral, ecological and educational. Since the teachers play a major role in education of children, their own education becomes a matter of vital concern. Various problems in the way of teacher education are following:

Education of teachers needs to strengthen and stress upon the main attributes of a profession, such as, the systematic theory, rigorous training over a specified duration ,authority, community sanction, ethical code and culture, generating knowledge through research and specialization. It is acknowledged that formal professional training on continuous basis is necessary for becoming a good teacher as it caters to the development of one’s personality and sharpening of communication skills and commitment to a code of conduct. Emerging Trends and Innovations Innovation is usually understood as the introduction of something new and useful, like introducing new methods, techniques, or practices or new or altered products and services. Schools or teacher education institutions can carry out innovations or experimentation on any aspect of their work related to teaching-learning, training or management of schools in order to improve efficiency of the institution to overcome problems and difficulties, they face in day to day functioning. The present structure of teacher education is supported by a network of national, provincial and district level resource institutions working together to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teacher preparation programs at the pre-service level and also through in- service programs for serving teachers throughout the …show more content…
The teacher education department should conduct research on teaching curriculum and evaluation procedure in the regular university departments. Extension programs and Exchange programs with different universities within India and outside India enrich the teacher education programme enormously. So such programs should be sponsored by government and university so that different academicians from different disciplines can contribute in the qualitative aspect of teacher education (10)Refresher courses, Orientation programs Seminars, Conferences, Workshop, Symposium should be encouraged for the professional growth of teacher educators. All the educationists can be oriented with new developments, changes, innovations in the field of education.
(11) The reference books, other reading material are not available in Hindi and other regional languages so availability for such books should be made for students and teachers which can make the teaching learning process more effective.
(12) Haryana government has made provisions for providing incentives for pupil teachers who undergoes training at elementary level, so provisions should be made at higher level also. Government should provide financial grant to teacher education institute/department for opening experimental
In our time of uncertainty one of the most stable institutions is the school system for children. Thus, being a teacher and providing the most stable atmosphere along with providing the children with an education must be handled delicately. I believe a mixture of essentialism, progressivism, perennialism, behaviorism, and social reconstrctonism is essential in achieving those goals.
In sum, the distinctive aspects and structures of BTR program contribute to possible program effect factors. Therefore, the relevant outcomes for BTR program include recruiting more teachers in hard-to-staff subjects, better teaching preparation and training, higher retention rate. From stakeholder perspectives, these three expected effects of the program perfectly reflect the key components of the mission of BTR program: “recruit, prepare, and sustain excellent teachers” (Solomon, 2009). Teachers are supposed to instruct, engage, and place attention to the students, but if they do not have a passion to educate the students, they will receive that negative atmosphere in the classroom and decide no to learn. In the beginning, teachers were mainly women because the government did not have to pay them too much. Currently, we have both male and female instructors doing the job. Teachers are educating the future, so they should receive proper education and tools, like a lot of other professions, teachers should undergo a series of lessons and tests every two years, so they can be kept up to date on the methodologies of teaching. Furthermore, in order to teach the children properly, teachers need the right materials for that peculiar subject. Lastly, teachers should receive multicultural training, so they know what types of students they are dealing with.

Teachers serve as the guiding force in a student’s life. They are responsible for molding a student’s personality and shaping his/her mental orientation. Teachers deeply impact our lives and direct the course of our future. One cannot deny the influence of teachers in one’s life. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that, till a certain age, out life revolves around our teachers. They are our constant companions, until we grow old enough to come out of their shadow and move ahead on our own.
Teachers have always played one of the most important roles in schools and in the educational histories of most students. One of the greatest challenges facing education systems is implementing the changes that would increase student learning. In this paper, I seek to investigate the traditional views of school reform by redefining the roles teachers can play in school change and thus, increasing student’s learnings outcome.

Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. According to the article by Brian Goodwin all new teachers face three common challenges. Three common challenges are the fact that all new teachers study struggle with managing the classroom they are burdened by curricular freedom and it has a sinking feeling in their unsupportive environments. So what I take from this to mean is that obviously when you're a new teacher you struggle with the fact that you don't know whether or not how exactly are going to control your students when they misbehave when they're hyper if they have a learning disability you're not sure exactly how you're going to grab the students attention and keep it on you and keep them listening. According to mr. Goodwin he also believes that teachers about 15% of teachers
Education is a very important aspect of the lives of all people all over the world. What we learn, not just in the classroom, shapes who we are. We take our education everywhere we go. We use it when talking to our buddies about sports or music, we use it while solving a math problem, we use our education while debating with our family whether or not we should watch TV or go to the movies. Our education is the foundation of who we are, since every decision we make and every thought we think is dependent on what we know. Imagine how different the world would be if everyone craved learning to such a degree that at lunch tables all over the world the topic of conversation isn't who likes who, or how drunk someone got over the weekend, but it would be what books were read over the weekend, and what new ideas were thought of. This crave for learning would be an ideal but still suggests need for improvement with the current educational system. It seems that the problem with education is that somewhere along the lines the human race forgot (assuming they, at one point, understood how valuable information is) that learning is not just a mandatory process, but also an opportunity to transcend and open the gateway to a better understanding.
An effective teacher will excite, inspire and motivate students to be active in their learning, investigate new areas of knowledge and make connections to future learning (Whitton et al 2010). When a teacher is successful, their students are motivated, mutually respectful and ready to build on their knowledge and solve real-world problems. To be a teacher of value, one must have many skills and qualities to cater for a diversity of learners and their individual development; this includes many personal traits that are noticed students.
I believe that teaching is the most important profession in the world. How else can we continue to develop in such a technical world, or in any other way, for that matter? Without the transfer of knowledge to young minds, we will stagnate and wither as a world. Teaching is hope for better, more successful futures. Learning is hope for becoming better individuals, for gaining intelligence, and for implementing practical experiences in our future. Since we always tell our children that they should plan for their futures and work to realize those goals, the teaching profession should “practice what it preaches” by helping young people to reach those goals. Teaching reading during the past five years has been rewarding beyond my imagination. I have watched non-readers become readers, I have watched scores and student confidence improve, and I have been part of that change. What a reward!
Education has played an important role in people’s lives and receiving the best education is a right to all humans, but now in days we can see that our education system is in deep distress. This is made evident by the low rate of graduates; that’s why our education system needs to be improved. Many people think that our government is responsible for our bad education system, However, teachers are the real issue even though many teachers are saying they 're doing their best, they’re not. How do we improve our education system? For a start, we need to provide better teaching programs for teachers to improve their skills and make them earn their tenure instead of just giving it to them.
