I’m writing my Poetry Analysis over gay rights and equal rights for love. I picked the song “Same Love” by Macklemore. His real name is Ben Haggery he born June 19, 1983 in Seattle, Washington. Career began in 2000 but really became popular in 2012 with release of "The Heist". I love this song because it it has a great meaning to LGBT community and sends out a great message to everyone and informing them that it’s okay to be gay and to embrace it and love yourself.

Live on and be yourself ” Gay rights is very similar to what African Americans had dealt with during the civil rights movement. No one should deal with being discriminated for being themselves and what they were born to be and to not worry what people think and just be yourself and embrace it. “When I was at church they taught me something else If you preach hate at the service those words aren 't anointed That holy water that you soak in has been poisoned” In church instead of preaching about love and worshiping the word of God they preach hate. “When everyone else is more comfortable remaining voiceless Rather than fighting for humans that have had their rights stolen might not be the same, but that 's not important. “No law is gonna change us We have to change us Whatever God you believe in We come from the same one” Love shouldn’t have any law you should love however you want no matter what anyone says. No law is going to change us we have to change us before a law does.
