My entire life has been one big emotional rollercoaster. Moving from place to place as a small child never gave me a chance to build relationships with people, so I never had true friends. Although my childhood was rough, it gave me an extroverted personality that I truly do benefit from. I am extremely friendly and outgoing, but because of the events that happened earlier in my life, I have trust issues. I’m always super bubbly even if I’m upset, but I still don’t open up to people about how I genuinely feel. On a mini road trip with a friend, a song came on that was not familiar to me, but I was automatically attracted to the way it sounded. I listened to the lyrics closely and connected them to my life. The song starts with a happy sounding beat which makes the listener think the song is going to be happy. The instrumental of this song could be my everyday theme music because of my bubbly attitude. The song starts with the chorus, “Loving is easy, you have me messed up. It used to be so hard to see.” To the listener, it seems as though the singer is explaining how easy it is to be in love, and how he never realize this until now. The chorus continues, “Loving is easy when everything perfect, please don’t change a single little thing for me.” Instead of realizing how easy it is to be in love, he’s actually explaining how loving is only easy in a perfect world; one should not need to change anything in order for their love to be accepted. My connection with these two verses is strong. It’s hard for me to love someone whether it is a friend, a boyfriend, or even a close relative.
