The origins of pizza can be traced back to Italy, where pizza was first invented. After Italian immigrants moved to the U.S they brought with them all sorts of food such as pasta, lasagna, and pizza. One of the states that the Italian immigrants populated was Illinois, and to this day Chicago, the most popular city in Illinois, has a great variety of pizza and pizzerias (pizza restaurants), some of which were influenced by the influx of Italians. A few years ago, the Chicago Tribune named The Art of Pizza the best pizza place in town, it features deep dish pizza with spiced tomato sauce on top. This place is great for vegetarians because it tastes great without meat. The crust is thick and the cheese will sizzle and melt into your mouth.
