If you want to live longer and happier as a whole then Dan Buettner gives a great Ted talk on the best ways to a more fulfilling life, and are we willing to give up the some of our food and technology culture to do so? He gives pretty sound advice on living the longest with the most basic of ways. Along with living longer but also have a happier healthier life mentally and physically. It seems easy what he has to say that we would have to do too attain this increase of life and happiness and most anyone should be able to accomplish this. It seems the most basic things we already know such as having good friends, eating a healthy rich diet, and being active on a daily basis with goals is all you need. Not only this but as the weight starts to stack on our personal self- worth on how we look goes down along with confidence, motivation, and will power to stop. The attitude become well I am already fat so guess it doesn’t matter might as well get some pleasure from eating these foods. An aircraft spiraling out of control not being able to get a hold of the gears to regain some kind of stabilization and for us gears being how we rationalize who we are and how we see ourselves. One of the bigger hurdles I see though if the last want enough but having a more active and social life. With our society so dependent and inundated with technology that it has not become part of everyday life and the way most information is transmitted and received. This in return has made us less social and us more use to having conversations all day with people but never seeing a one of them. We see socializing in a new light and the ways of doing so have become vast and numerous. With people becoming more desensitized with social situation and even when we group together we still have phones in hand videoing their favorite band to put up on social media.
