Animal Endangerment occurs in different species as of today. Each day there becomes a
higher risk of animals becoming extinct.I believe that if we take it upon ourselves to make
certain changes, not only will we will be preventing animal endangerment but also saving the
animals lives. Today in the year of 2016, animals that are on the verge of extinction that we
have some familiarity to are the panda bear, tiger and also the mountain gorilla. In order to
eliminate some of the animals from the endangered list, I believe that we should put an end to the
negative roles we play against animals. Humans can play key roles in why animals are becoming
endangered. Some of the roles that humans play in animal endangerment are performing animal
cruelty towards

The first problem that I felt needed to be eliminated
was animal cruelty. Animal cruelty is a serious ongoing issue today that many animals have to
endure. Animal cruelty comes in many forms. An example of animal cruelty can come from not
properly feeding an animal or simply abusing animals. I think the question every animal owner
should ask themselves before putting themselves in the position of owning an animal is “Do I
have enough time and patience to own an animal?” Future animal owners should strongly
consider this before making a decision of owning an animal. A animal is like a child, it needs
proper care and attention in order to be healthy and survive. If I could warn any person deciding
on whether they want to own a animal I would tell them if owning an animal becomes
overwhelming just simply give up the animal to a nearby shelter. The reason I would tell them
this is because no animal deserves to suffer and every animal deserves an opportunity of a better
life. My second point was to eliminate pollution. Pollution destroys many animals homes. After
the animals homes are destroyed, they find it hard to adjust to the new atmosphere of life.
... better quality food. Why should animals suffer for part of the world to over-eat inexpensively? Perhaps quantity needs to drop in order for quality to rise. There are many farms that treat their animals extremely well, but when they are sent to slaughter there are no guarantees the same respect carries over. Perhaps the butchering of animals should not be a manufacturing process. A return to nature would do the world a world of good. Although the days of hunting for survival are over, there is no benefit to people’s apathy towards the animals they ingest.
.... Some animals face endangerment because of human’s hunting activities and because of the climate changes. Due to the endangered rare species, people solve this problem by bringing these animals back to their natural habitat.
We, as humans, mistreat the animal population. On a smaller scale, the human population wastes domestic and wild, animals for medical testing, for their fur, and for entertainment such as dog fighting. These things may not seem to be globally threatening, yet the constant waste of certain species of animals and the destruction of an animal's natural habitat will lead to the endangerment and eventually the extinction of the species. Furthermore, many people are unaware that the world is currently in the midst of the largest mass extinction in history.
When I was little my teachers would ask me “Cora, What do you want to be when you grow up”? In reality, I couldn’t make up my mind on what I wanted to be ‘when I grew up’. When I was around seven, I went from wanting to be a Veterinarian to being an Astronaut, then back to a Veterinarian again. Around age 10, I wanted to be a dentist, even though I hate mouths. Then I wanted to be a Veterinarian again. Junior Year of high school came and when we started to research colleges and careers I heard that Premed programs were so hard to get into, and I wasn’t fooling anyone with my grades. I did some research on Veterinarians and I discovered that the Veterinarians don’t really handle the animals like I thought they did. Then I learned about Veterinary Technicians, they do so much with the animals. I
Keeping animals locked in cages, bored and cramped up in such a small space is an awful sight to show the children. It creates an image in the little minds of children that animals are to be treated like they don’t matter. They say Zoos are a place where children can learn about the wild, exotic animals, but in reality it doesn't teach them anything only that they are meant to be caged up, which is wrong. Also, it is really painful to see the animals bored and lonely, so why should people keep letting them do this to these beautiful creatures. Animal captivity for entertainment should end to let them go to their rightful home.
Animals are used today for many sources of protection, food, clothing, transportation, sports, entertainment, and labor, but millions of these animals die each year from abuse. “Most of the reasons that people give for denying animals rights are: animals do not have souls, god gave humans dominion over the animals, humans are intellectually superior to animals, humans are intellectually superior to animals, animals do not reason, think, or feel pain like humans do, animals are a natural resource to used as humans see fit, and animals kill each other” (Evans). It all started in the nineteenth century, when people began abusing animals by beating them, feeding them poorly, providing them with no shelter or poor shelter, left to die if they were sick or old, or by cruel sports. Most of the organized efforts to improve human treatment of animals all started in England. Around the 1800s, there was signs of rising concern for animal welfare in the United States.
For thousands of years scientist have been performing vivisections on animals to find information on new chemicals, drugs, and vaccines. Vivisection is when scientist perform dissections among living animals mostly for the purpose of educating and retrieving information. Experimenting on animals has become the tool that has helped us comprehend the body functions of an animal and how a disease transforms the bodily functions, but over the years it’s caused animal rights activists to question the usefulness and the sincerity of using animals for this purpose. Although animal research has been helpful in the past, it is morally wrong in the sense that experimenting on animals is not the only way to collect information. There are other alternatives
Review Main Points-Animal cruelty continues to be a problem, but we as individuals can make a difference by becoming aware and ultimately involved.
Humans are destructive. Not a lot of us think about how what we do affects the world around us. We almost act like we are the only ones on this planet. We go around polluting and destroying our world with no regard for our actions. The things that live out in the wild are paying the price for it. Every day that passes there is another animal or plant that is placed on an endangered list. This is happening at an alarming rate. Because of man’s desire to expand and conquer their surroundings, there are animals and plants that are on the brink of extinction that will not be around for our kids and future generations to enjoy if something is not done about it now. This problem has been going on for hundreds of years. There are animals and plants that can only been seen in paintings or early photography. It is because of our early ancestors that we have this problem today and we have to do more to prevent more animals and plants from disappearing forever.
middle of paper ... ... These three simple things can help climate change stay under control and keep the animals safe. In the world where people live, it is an enormous responsibility but also the greatest gift that people need to cherish and protect. The human race needs to step up and voice not only their concerns, but the concerns of all the animals endangered or not.
If we want to save animals from extinction, we first have to reduce the construction, which will save a lot of forests and therefore an animal’s habitat. Paulina Lam says that “The planet’s forests are under threat. Some thirty six football fields of forests are hacked, burned, and destroyed every minute. With each forest clearing, we lose about 135 species of animals, plants, and insects a day” (Lam). The easiest solution to deforestation is to plant more trees.
When thinking of a century, it may seem a while away, but what people do now will affect the world in the future. All over the world there are animals, reptiles and amphibians becoming endangered and some are close to extinction. Unfortunately we are somewhat to blame. We have polluted the earth and cut down forests to take resources that we need to survive. Although we need those resources, it is threatening to wildlife and needs to change. Some of our activities led to the current rate of extinction, which is higher than the normal natural rate. Based on...
The government of British Columbia has been promising the people of better strategies to manage their declining wildlife. The public has always waited for scientific methods to be used to manage wildlife, but the only way the government has always used to manage wildlife in British Columbia is by eradicating hunting. Although the government does seem to be finding new ways to manage wildlife, yet it is still advocating for the old ways the British Columbians have been opposing. The hunter centric strategies of wildlife conservation are still being practiced by the government, and this is contributing to the decline of some species. The government lacks the proper guidelines and consultation to realize that wildlife in British Columbia can just be efficiently managed through the use of scientific facts.
The problem of extinction can be solved through zoos and rehabilitation organizations. Zoos take in these animals that are hurt, stranded, or near death, in order to give these animals a second chance at life. Zoos are the source of our animals chance at life and a way to make the population flourish, and grow to a size that makes that species unendangered and just threatened or under no classification. This is important in life because the world needs animals and plants, but if the animals and plants go extinct except for humans then life as the human race knows it will be gone. Animals provide us with food and clothing while plants provide us with food, shelter, oxygen, and warmth.
Most ordinary nature enthusiasts who want to protect endangered species do not appreciate nature seriously. Their picturing of a natural environment is usually limited to green or vast remote lands, which welcome wildlife and appear less troubled and false than cities. People who value nature this way are similar to those “90s kids” on the Internet who treat the 1990s as better than any other decade. Their only reason as to why is often because entertainment, particularly television, was superior at the time. Both “90s kids” and typical nature followers suffer as surface dwellers, since they do not ponder about their interest to reasonably argue why it is greater than anything else, or why it is essential for themselves and others. However,
